If you filled out a reservation request for a B&B, how long would you wait to get a confirmation email? I filled it out this morning and still haven't received anything. Should I just wait or give them a call?
What time zone are they on, and does it differ from yours? If so, be a little more patient. B&B's often have owners who are doing a lot of different things at once, unlike a hotel who has a dedicated staff to respond to stuff like that.

Same time zone. You are probably right, I should give them at least 24 hours to do their administration. I'm so impatient though.
My parents called me in a frenzy today. They are visiting next week and had reservations made at a place months ago. I looked at reviews and didn't think they would really enjoy it there, but said nothing because it was their decision to stay there. Then they tried to change their itinerary to get a different hotel for the last night since they need to catch a ferry the next day and it was a 2-hr drive from the place they booked. First, the place didn't have their reservation. Then they found it, but wouldn't let my parents change it. So my parents called hotels.com where they booked it and canceled it alltogether and asked for my help. So now I'm booking things for them 2 weeks out. Fun!
I typically wait 24 hours. (And if I need a response sooner than that, I tend to just call them in the first place, even though I seriously hate making phone calls.)

I hate phone calls too, especially to strangers. I got the email confirmation after I got home from work today. So happy right now, I found this great B&B for my parents near Port Angeles, WA, that has old train cabooses that they have converted to rooms and a dining cart.
That place sounds awesome! We just stayed at B&B last weekend and it was a great experience. So relaxing and comfortable.
And even though I see you already heard back, I would expect to hear back within 2 days, depending on what time I sent the reservation. I'd give them at least one full working day.

Thanks hazel, I was just anxious that they would book it before I heard back since there was only one car available and it was somewhat short notice. I'm glad I got it booked for them. I'm excited and wish I could be staying there
