We are going to Vegas in 3 weeks and H wants to stay at the Aria. The only place I've eaten at is the Pizza place and it was ok. I normally just walk over to the Cosmo to eat. I want to try something new and at the Aria since so many people like it.
Julian Serrano is a must! There's a casual Pizza place by the sports book that's good for a quick bite.
I wasn't impressed with Sage.
That's the pizza place I was talking about, it gave me the worst heartburn
Sage is their steakhouse,right?
I'm not sure? It's right next to Julian Serrano. We had their 4 course tasting menu, where you could choose your courses, and maybe my choices sucked. LOL.
Sage was a very disappointing meal for me and the two other people I was with when I was there. I loved Julian Serrano's place. I really enjoy Spanish food.
If Sage is the steakhouse, DH said it wasn't very good when he ate there, but we had eaten at Mastro's (which was outstanding) and the steakhouse at the Bellagio, so compared to those two he didn't care for it.

Also - if you're staying at Aria, we usually walk across the strip to the mall connected to Planet Hollywood for breakfast. There's a couple of smaller places in there to get breakfast. We usually eat at Ocean's One, I think breakfast is around $12? Plus they have drink specials I don't know, nothing grinds my gears in Vegas like paying $30 for breakfast.

Can you give recs for the Cosmo? DH and I are going this weekend, and we usually stay downtown Vegas, I've never even been to the Cosmo. Thanks!

Another vote for Julian Serrano. OMG. OMG.
I REALLY REALLY enjoyed my time at Rose. Rabbit. Lie. at Cosmo with my friends. Everything they brought to our table was fucking amazing. I almost died from happiness when they brought out the dessert in a terrarium. OMFG.

Holsteins is great for lunch. They have really good burgers! I love the Vesper Bar on the first level, I swear it's one of the best people-watching spots in Vegas. Their cosmopolitan is amazing! "Secret Pizza" is on the third level (I think) - just Google it, it's the perfect spot if you're up late and need some food. I also love Rose. Rabbit. Lie. I've never eaten there, but their Moscow mules are delicious, and they also have such fun entertainment! We've seen singers, tap-dancers, and a little kid break-dancing on top of a piano!

Trust pantsparty's recs! She did not lead me astray when I stayed at the Aria last year. Their regular breakfast is also quite good and not too expensive.

I love everything inside the Cosmo! Holsteins is amazing, make sure to get a boozey shake ( yummy ), secret pizza is great when your buzzed a need a quick bite, it's across from STK. STK is a fun steakhouse with good food. Rose.Rabbit.Lie- I've also had only drinks but the food looked amazing.
I like the crepes from Jean-Phillipe for a quick bite. Lemongrass is pretty good Thai and can be ordered to go (things I now know because of a sleepy toddler).
I'm going to Vegas in 4 weeks! What are you going to do there? Any show plans? I'm on a cheeseburger budget but with filet mignon dreams.
We are going just for a quick trip. H has to register for a poker tournament he wants to play in June. I think we are going to just a nice dinner and gamble. Vegas is only about a 3.5 hour drive from my house
Go to Fremont street and go the Zip line. It's either $20 or $40. It depends on how far you want to go.
I really enjoyed the hypnotist Anthony Cools inside the Paris. I laughed my butt off the whole time. I don't remember how much the tickets were.

There's a few nice restaurants on the second level - Bardot and a new Italian place, but I haven't tried them yet.
We've tried them both. Bardot is a MUST for brunch - the endless rose is fabulous and I highly recommend the chicken sandwich, the quiche and the bacon. Oh god, the bacon is insane!
Carbonne, the new italian place, is wonderful, too. We sat at the bar for dinner and split the veal parm and the vodka pasta. Both were excellent. They start you with fresh parm reggiano, salami (maybe cappacola?) and marinated veggies along with a bread basket. Portions are huge, but we really enjoyed it.
We also have tried and liked Julian Serrano and Sage. I'm actually shocked that Sage was meh for some. We thought our courses were quite good.

We have reservations at Julian Serrano on Tuesday! Never been before but we love Spanish tapas and it has excellent reviews on Trip Advisor. So I vote for that!
Another vote for Julian Serrano. I went with about 10-12 people and we ordered all the food - all kinds of tapas, paella, both white and red sangria (skip the white, the red was fabulous), and dessert. I also happened to be sitting next to the only vegetarian of the group who was ordering all his own tapas and kept force feeding me bites of his food. It was all delicious and awesome.
