@ello , good luck with the race, I'm sure you will do great! Also, continued good health vibes going out to your dad, I"m sorry he's still not in the clear with the blood clots. Hopefully he can be back at home and well really soon, I will keep my fingers crossed and the good vibes going out!


No plans for tonight, but the meal I was planning to make will use some wine so I'll probably have a glass as well while eating dinner.
Planning to see BFF tomorrow for a little bit, and going to the free concert on Saturday, but other those we don't have many other plans.

No April Fools tricks for me, unless I get the H somehow at the last minute. I'm too new to play a trick on a coworker and not sure if they do those kind of things here.


Random: I found out from mom that my sister is basically re-doing all of her wedding day photos.... like basically 6 months after the fact. I always knew she was hard-to-please and nothing in life EVER seems to be perfect enough for her, but this is just taking it over the top, IMO! She's paying for another bouquet to be made (this will be the 3rd one, because she had a real one made for her bridals, then again for her wedding) and I have no idea if she's planning to pay the stylist to come back out and re-do her hair & makeup again to be identical (though it wouldn't surprise me). Sister told mom that her photographer is going to do it for free, but we both think that is a load of BS, because what kind of photographer would provide another full day of shots and editing when the job was already done months ago!? Anyhow, the whole point of her picking that particular venue was due to the hillside view at sunset, and then it ended up cold, dark, & rainy on her wedding day so they didn't get any shots like that. I just had to laugh hearing about this... I mean if a sunset pic was the ultimate goal, I would have just done a destination wedding on a tropical beach where the sun visibly sets about 95% of the time (rather than a November hill country wedding where it's hit or miss on weather).

On OrangePixyStix's random. I would do a wedding boudoir shoot with my dress, but not a full bridal session. I didn't get the kind of shot of the back of my dress that I wanted on the day-of, but I'm not going to pay all that money just for missing one shot.


What's going on for you tonight/this weekend?
H's and work BFF's birthdays are both on Sunday. H and I will be going to 'the big city' at some point for him to pick around on a few mandolins before I get him one for our anniversary. We'll have drinks at our usual bar on Saturday night to celebrate BFF's birthday.

What's going on for you tonight/this weekend?   

Nothing tonight.  This weekend will be mostly prep for vacation (laundry, cleaning, packing, pedicure), and probably seeing BFF Saturday and another friend tomorrow night.  And the season finale of The Walking Dead on Sunday!!

Planning to do any April Fools tricks tomorrow?   Absolutely not!

Any other random thoughts on your mind?  I'm reading the last Harry Potter book and I'm kind of obsessed.  I normally only read on the subway, but for the last couple of books I've been reading during my commute, when I get home, before bed and now even during lunch.  My sister and I are planning a trip to Universal/WWHP in December.  I did not see this coming.  LOL

I agree about the ridiculousness of my sister.   I always figured she would be the one in our family with multiple marriages, so I have to keep from blurting out something rude like, "Maybe you will get the perfect sunset pic with your next husband!"    :-#
I mean, she can't even keep any long-term friends since her high-maintenance attitude drives them all off, I just figured it's a matter of time before the same happens with her new H.  But I truly hope it doesn't, because I can only imagine how much wailing and complaining we will hear if that really does happen.  He must be a saint to go along with a mock-wedding just for a few pictures.

Tomorrow is my last day of work before spring break. We leave for Vegas on Monday. I'm so excited I could spit!

@ello, I'm sending prayers and good thoughts your dad's way!  Also, i'm so with you on snuggling dogs.  I'm home all day long with mine and I wish I could just stay in bed and snuggle him all day 

OrangePixyStix, I know someone who made her husband do this after their wedding 12 years ago.  That story did not end well.

What's going on for you tonight/this weekend?
We ate dinner at Root Down here in Denver (one of my favorite restaurants) I'm stuffed and i'm exhausted This weekend is the first tennis match of the season for me. I'm ready to get back into it!

April Fool's Jokes aren't really my thing. I've already been fooled by whoever made up the Trader Joe's joke. I'm so glad that was a hoax!

What's going on for you tonight/this weekend? H & I are having some yummy dinners this weekend.  Stuffed mushrooms for me and steak for him tomorrow night then stuffed peppers Sunday.. mmm can't wait! 

I signed up for the redditgifts stationary exchange so I have to go shop for my giftee. she sounds a lot like me so it should be fun!

Hello and welcome!  I take it you are a vegan/vegetarian?   I mean, why wouldn't YOU have steak, too!?  (don't take that the wrong way, I'm from Texas and steak is pretty much the entire protein category for our diets, haha).

OrangePixyStix I guess I'm technically vegetarian but not by choice if that makes sense. I was a vegetarian for most of my childhood. Kudos to my mom for embracing it while the rest of the family ate meat. In my 20s I started eating meat again and then last year it changed for me again.

For some reason,I just stopped liking meat. It started with chicken and spread from there. At first, I was like umm wtf am i preggo? But I wasn't and it continued so I guess my tastes have just changed.

@ello, T&P for your dad. A similar thing happened when my boss was hospitalized for blood clots last year, and he is doing great now. I hope they get everything under control quickly!

OrangePixyStix, maybe your sister has found just the right person to put up with her...umm...preference for "perfection" (is that a nice way of putting it or what?! lol).
