My urologist told me to start taking one (as part of an anti kidney stone regimen, along with NO SALT ) but he didn't specify the dosage. I bought one that is 500 mg but it seems like that might be kind of high from what I've read online. I'll call his office to see what they say, just wanted to see if anyone here was taking it.

Would you mind sharing your anti kidney stone regimen? I get stones and am curious what they have advised?
No prob! No salt, magnesium supplement, glass of oj per day, enough water so that urine basically has no yellow. I have had stone issues for years, i had a lithotripsy and stent insertion (for hydronephrosis from blockage of scar tissue from previous stones) in early Feb. I had a stone lingering since the lithotripsy but finally passed it last week. I've had the stent in this whole time and it will FINALLY be removed April 12! It's been quite a ride.

Thank you for sharing! The no salt thing would be the most difficult part of it all, for me at least. I had lithotripsy done about 2 years ago for a stone that was pretty large, but in the course of it all we have determined I have a few more stones lingering in each kidney. I've passed a few on my own as well. It's the absolute pits.
Did they ever determine the composition of your stones? Mine are calcium oxilate. Or rather, the ones that have come out and we've caught for testing. I'd imagine what's left in there are similar.

Me too, I love salt! This time I wasn't able to "catch" a sample to test but previous stones were also calcium oxalate. I think there are also certain foods that are supposed to be avoided if you have problems with calcium oxalate stones but I need to look that up.

I was a late bedwetter, and I used to take magnesium to combat it. Only took as needed, though, so I'm no help on dosage, but am interested that it might have actually been medically sound (it was recommended by a chiropractor, who, to his credit, did more Eastern medicine type things and no spine-cracking at all, and even though the magnesium worked, I always wondered if it was a legit thing or a mind-over-matter thing).
I get it from Amazon. It def helps to keep things moving along digestively speaking..heehe
I take this nightly (the raspberry lemon flavor) and have for about a year. Someone here recommended it. It's helped to: Reduce my migraine frequency and severity, relieve some of my anxiety, allowed me to reduce my insomnia med dosage, helped my digestive tract immensely.
I believe one serving (a teaspoon I think) is 315 mg
I used the Mg plus Protein it is easier on my stomach. It's only 133mg - but I have to adjust a bunch based on other meds so it easier for me to just take extra pills. The pro is supposed to help with the absorption.
