We have never done rope drop. We did CP last time for a pre park entry and it was just ok. It took forever to wait for the characters and I feel like we wasted a lot of precious park time doing that instead of being able to do rides. DD was also a nightmare and refused to take a castle picture. We have a short trip coming up and have 3 mornings that we could potentially do rope drop, however I was able to get BOG 8am reservations and am thinking that might be a better plan? DD will be 2.5 and doesn't do well waiting in lines. Right now we are planning 1 morning at epcot (do they have rope drop?), 1 morning at MK (BOG breakfast) and then our last morning eating breakfast at Ohana since we are staying at the poly.

I would do the early BOG, you could be in fantasyland before the rope drop crowds enter. If the park opens at 8 I would not bother with BOG or I would go later.
thanks everyone. My motivation for BOG pre park was mainly to get in early and get a castle picture without the mass crowds. I think I will plan on the breakfast now and if the hours change I will drop it. I def do not want to waste park time eating.
