Do you trade pins?

How long have you been trading? What was your first pin? Do you collect only certain types of pins?

Not currently. I have debated on asking DD if she wants to do it at some point. She is only 4 now. What age do kids typically start?

My kids just started on our last trip.

We got a "blind pack" of 5 that they used for trading and they used their souvie money to buy the ones they wanted to keep.

I'm super pissed that I cand find the pin the Disney movie club sent years ago. Apparently it's super rare. I really hope I didn't do something stupid like give it to goodwill.

We trade, but purely for fun. A lot of the pins you find trading are scrappers.

We do collect pins we purchase at Disney. Those don't get traded. We each tend to buy whatever we like at the moment.

DS is 7 and just started it on his last trip. Really at this point, he bought more pins to keep than he traded.

My sister has been doing this for a long time. She has tons of pins! I just pick up ones I like here and there.

Fun fact if you didn't know - if you ask a cast member to trade a pin, they have to trade with you! So if you or your kids are interested in trading, you could just get the cheapest pack of pins you don't mind giving up and just keep watching the cast member lanyards for good ones!
