We primarily watch TV through the Roku, usually Netflix. SS has been trying to convince DH to switch to a Chromecast, so we bought one to see what the fuss was about. It's kind of neat being able to cast stuff from your computer or phone to the TV, but I don't think we'll be switching from the Roku any time soon. Last night, DH and I are watching Scrubs through the Roku. It was the episode where Turk and Carla are supposed to write their wedding vows, and when they find out they have to use the traditional vows for the wedding, Carla's brother suggests that they read the vows they've written at the rehearsal dinner. It gets to the part when Turk gets busted for reading the speech from "When Harry Met Sally", and I told DH that he should have just used the speech from "Bull Durham". DH didn't remember which one that was, so I found it on my computer and casted it to the TV. Well, something messed up during the video, and the TV wouldn't switch back to the Roku. DH literally threw a fit, because obviously I was doing something wrong. He kept telling me to try different things, all of which I had already tried. Finally he just turned the TV off, dropped the remote on the floor, and curled up on the couch and fell asleep watching Netflix on his laptop. About an hour later, I picked up the TV remote to watch the news, and all I had to do to get it back to the Roku screen was to hit the "home" button. That's fine, I'll let him sleep on the couch, that way I only have to share the bed with the cat and my Nook.

Had a pretty decent day today..... went over to see my parents, cleaned my car out and ran it through the wash, settling in to get ready for the season finale of Walking Dead tonight.
There was a period of about 20 minutes when I had misplaced my husband's new bankchecks and we were tearing the house apart. I found them in the garbage can.... no earthly idea why I threw the whole box away. About had a heart attack!
The weather is gorgeous today. Mid-40's and clear as a bell.
I took a walk to downtown (10 blocks away) and took DS#2 to lunch. He works at Polar Bear Gifts downtown. They're gearing up for the tourists who will be here in droves in a month or so. Then I circled around and stopped at the local market for a rotisserie chicken, said hi to DS#3's GF, then headed home.

Took mom to costco and fought off crowds to get cheap rotisserie chicken. riots were narrowly averted by line cutters.
Costco shoppers, never change.
Came home and closet purged with H for a clothing drive at work...ended up posting like 20 things for sale on my local board. So I may even make money on this!

Snickering at mid-40s. That is deep winter here. It was 90ish today.
Exciting day here, stripping beds and washing sheets. I did get to sleep late, that was awesome!
I do Sunday sheets, too. Mom drilled it into me as a kid, when I lived in the dorm I was considered a bit odd. I finally got BF onboard with it, and he is a fanatic about it now, including his kids beds.
The grandsons have been here since late Friday night and I'm about to go out of my mind with the yelling and fighting. My daughter gets upset if I say anything (discipline) to her boys. I'm a mess.
After having a great weekend running in the Cherry Blossom (and posting my all time PR) we came home to no power. It had been knocked out by a downed tree from the windstorms. Well, the power pops back on about 15 minutes after we walk in from the airport and figure we were lucky, all better. (We knew it was out since 7am as our webcams were out). Well, apparently when the power popped back on, it blew every GFI outlet in my house and along with it every powered item that wasn't plugged it one. Plus my furnace. So no heat, TV, internet, dishwasher, dryer, and countless other appliances. Electrician, heating company and FIOS are all scheduled for arrival this morning between 8 and 11. Electricians were the best - there at 8:15.
The power company apparently will pay for repairs and replacement of all lost appliances as well. At least they say so but we will see what happens. Not happy!!!
It snowed here today, which, okay, it's Maine, so this should be no surprise, but I was not pleased. I took DD2 for a walk around a nearby campus and then we put some spareribs in the crock pot. After nap, we played a memory game and Apples to Apples this afternoon. Super exciting, lol.
