I went to get the clothes out of the dryer yesterday and they were still wet. I figured I must have moved them to the dryer and forgot to turn it on.
I was thinking about it last night and this has happened like half a dozen times recently. So now I'm wondering if I have been THAT forgetful or if I need to be looking a buying a new dryer. Our washer and dryer are hand-me-downs. Dryer is only 20+ years old. At least if we do buy new ones we have the money right now because of our tax refund!
I might start researching washers/dryers. We got just over 3k in refund so we could buy a new set and still boost our savings. DH wants a new TV too, but we'll see.
I have the hiccups for the third time today. I hate them so much.
I may venture out to the shoe store today a few blocks away. I want to try on shoes for once instead of just ordering online. I am sick of taping up returns.
bk1 liked your post for having the money, not for it being broke. We recently replaced ours and I love having a new reliable set.
HoneySpider losing money is the worst Hope you find it soon. And yes, proboards has been bad here too.
I need to put moleskin in two new pairs of shoes I bought....but I never seem to have enough time. I'm toying with the idea of wearing one pair tomorrow and doing it here at work.
I have to laugh when a hiring manager asked me to pull an application because "so-and-so DEFINITELY applied last night." Uh, no they didn't....can't find them in the system. They reply, "But they diiiiiiiiiid. Try their maiden name in the search field!!!!" When I still can't find them, I ask for the person's contact information and offer to reach out to them to see if they are having "technical difficulties." Their application always ends up appearing that night or the next day. Clearly, they lied and hadn't applied at all....but never trust the recruiter when she tells you that! Noooooo!

Ugh, HoneySpider, that's the worst! I always save my gift cards for a special purchase and then forget or misplace them.
I finally gave in last week and used some Tjmaxx cards I had from my bday LAST April. I decided to be practical and bought new bras because I needed them desperately.
We leave for vacation next week and my motivation for work is quickly dwindling already because everyone I work with is on vacation this week.
wanderingenough That's exactly what happened with this one - I've seriously had it since my birthday in Sept 2014 I knew where it was for the longest time and now all of a sudden it's gone. And I need makeup!
I got burned badly yesterday. Sitting in the shade today completely covered in a thick layer of sunscreen. The worst is my leg hair is starting to grow and I can shave because my thighs are screaming in pain.
We go home tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing my pups but not to the snow and rain in the forecast.
I finally feel like I am caught up on school and work! We had a completely unexpected 2 hour delay yesterday morning due to a very quick but heavy snow shower that iced the roads. I didn't get the call that we were delayed until I walked in the building so I got so much done.
how awesome! I could use a "two hour delay" on life. haha
Today is our last day of nice weather for the next week or so. It's supposed to rain most if this next week but who knows, they are usually wrong we walked to the park. Talked to our realtor and will be dropping our price another $5k. I hope this does the trick! I seriously cannot wait to move. Also scheduled my a/s so excited for that!

It's been raining here for a week. It's really frustrating to be stuck inside so much.

((Hugs)) I really don't know how you do it (or anyone else with real winters). I know I am so lucky and we need the rain but I don't know how I will survive all week indoors. Really hoping for breaks in the weather so we can go out for a little bit. Also I have to drive 180 miles round trip on Sat,which I was already dreading and now really don't want to with rain in the forecast (I will, just don't want to deal with the extra traffic).
I FINALLY called my mental health service provider to do an in-take call. I pretty much hated every moment of it. Internally, I'm like "is she a counselor?" "is she just inputting information and saying nice things?" and other various thoughts of the anxious person.
So yeah, I just need to be congratulated on my ability to use a phone today without sobbing.
@opal *Hugs* I've had many days like that in the past year. Good for you for making the call and getting through the day. Sometimes that accomplihment is best case scenario
luv2rn4fun Basically through the winter the daily goal is kill no one. Everyone is alive? GOOD DAY! Overachiever goal is don't cry Obviously I'm partially exaggerating... but winter sucks more than anything I know. There's no such thing as getting used to it.
amaranth- I totally understand, especially being SAHM...my sanity depends on being able to go outside. C woke up really cranky today...DH was like "you are in for a rough day"...my response was success being both of us alive when he got home. So far we are achieving that and I haven't cried today only 2.5 hrs to go til bath and bed!
Ok, here's my official happy post today - I'm watching BASEBALL! On the TV! This is exciting after going a whole season not being able to watch unless I was somewhere else. Sooo happy!
Also, went to the eye doctor tonight and the spot he saw last time is nothing. Yay! Apparently I also have a slight astigmatism in my right eye that they can't correct for with contacts. Oh well. I'm just happy I have an eye doctor I like now. The last one I had kinda sucked. I *think* with the new contacts my headaches are getting slightly better so I'm really hoping that was the cause! Hard to tell right now with the pinched nerve thing going on though.
grover - Sorry about the burn. *poof* I hope you still got to enjoy your trip!
estrellita - Hopefully the glasses help! It feels like such a victory to get a good optometrist! I went to one on campus after my reading headaches increased knowing that if I went to the one back home, he'd tell me I was fine (again). Getting +0.75 reading glasses helped so much with my recurrent headaches, and that's so mild you can't buy cheap readers in that prescription.
