Everyone says women get more invisible as we age. That seems to generally be true, but on Monday it reached new meaning for me.
I'm taking improv classes, and I am at level 4. My level 2 teacher is also teaching this class. I took level 2 last fall and I thought I did pretty well. I had a REALLY good performance in our class show, and I was pretty proud of it.
The teacher had no recollection of my being in his class. None. Zero. It was embarrassing and deflating. He remembered teaching other students, some of them longer ago than me. I guess I don't leave much of an impression?
@stalkermom, I agree about the "real" Olds. I feel fairly invisible now and it'll probably continue until I get uber old. If I'm still active and getting around, I look forward to that kindness I've seen firsthand. Yay? lol

rosiebear, I know just what you mean! There is a guy in our neighborhood that I've "met" 3 times! We live in a neighborhood of mostly retired people. My H is one of the few people still slaving at work!
I'm done explaining who I am. I just want a snappy response when he asks if we've met at the next neighborhood function. Any ideas would be appreciated!!

So, he asks if you have met? I'd say, "well you would remember that better than me now, eh?" Maybe I would leave off the eh, but I'd certainly shake my head like he was a damn fool. "Yes, and you owe me money" and when he acts shocked you can say I bet the next time you won't ask me if we ever met.
