YOU CAN PUT RANDOMS IN HERE. But mainly, what is making you want to drink? Celebratory drink! Sad drink! Angry Drink! I'm just bored drink! Tell it to me!
For me: I just had another complete stranger talk about my legs today when I went to lunch. I am in a work dress (It falls about an inch above the knee) and old dude was all, "Those legs right there are why I love summer." EWWW! GROSS! Like, fine, look at my legs all you want, but keep the comments to yourself.
I am in my billing period at work and haven't gotten a single check out today. Stupid little things keep popping up and preventing me to get done what I need to be getting done. I am going to a quick HH after work today, but I can't drink because I have a workout class at 6:45.
I bought organic strawberries last night since the selection of non-organic ones were crappy. And OMG!!! I just ate some and they were delicious!! Reminded me of the ones we'd pick right from our garden when I was little.
The training I did on Tuesday was followed up with an email Wednesday saying the project is on hold.
THEN I got an email saying that a meeting we previously didn't have to attend was now mandatory for us. It's from 6p-8p on a Wednesday. Which is my first night back with the kids and it will take me at least an hour to get to them after this meeting. I've already sent off an email saying I may not be able to attend due to childcare, we'll see what the response is.
I've got two hard ciders at home that I'm saving for tomorrow night to kick off my friend's bachelorette party weekend. It will be a very alcohol-infused weekend.
I purchased a plane ticket today to go to NYC at the beginning of next month. My best friend is graduating from his doctorate program and he always said he wanted me there the day it happened. Thanks to my amazing boss, it is happening! I'll spend about 5 days in the city with him celebrating. I can't wait!
OOOOH and so I usually get a Brazilian wax (last 5-6 months). I notice I get sparse hair right back in two weeks. So I am at 10 weeks of doing NOTHING and there are still baby hairs popping up. Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy. I understand there are stages of hair growth but daaaamn. I'm hoping this stops the cycle and it all comes back at once? It's basically every 4 weeks and leave some baby hair or... I just want to say eff it. I have really sensitive skin though and don't want to shave. trimming is meh which is what method I used in the past. I wish there was an easier way...

BRING THE BUSH TREND BACK...
I thought the "front bush brazilian" was a thing now?

What is that? Like you wax the crack plus side burns and leave the top to become an afro?
What's making me drink: my parents. They keep looking at more cabins talking about moving up north and I'm happy for their retirement but they keep encouraging me to move close to be their caretaker. And I don't want to live where they are looking.
Update from my math post yesterday: The math test portion of the interview today definitely made me want to drink. It was like a watered down version of the GRE math section. I think I did ok, but really unnecessary! The rest of the interview went well.
Hey! I really like it!! There's so much to do and the people are friendly. At this point I can honestly say that there is very little that I miss from NY--I do miss bagels and little NYC convenience/bodega stores for things like gum and coffee, but it's really minimal. I feel really good about everything so far. The new job is a completely different field of medicine, so it will be a challenging learning experience. I think I'll adjust, but it's a slower pace and different environment than I'm used to. My body has poor timing and I have a pretty bad cold and this was my first week of work so I'm feeling exhausted. Thanks for asking!
I took the day off and accompanied my good friend to her divorce hearing yesterday (Thursday), and we planned to have a celebratory champagne but it was still morning so we decided cake was the priority lol She was so nervous going in but the registrar who handles the cases was really nice and helped all the people without lawyers feel very comfortable. Now she just has to wait another 30 days and it will be final, yay! I guess we can save the champagne for then!
