MK- My advice is to divide and conquer. On day 1 stay on the left side of the park (so Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square) and if you get through everything you want, venture into one of the other lands. On day 2, do the same but visit Tomorrowland and Fantasyland. It really eliminates the need to unnecessarily run all over the park.
For Magic Kingdom: Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain, maybe Space Mountain if you like roller coasters (your DS might be too short, I know A is too short), Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road, Peter Pan's Flight, Buzz Light year
Yay! You're going to have so much fun. I don't know a lot about WDW, so I can't really help with FPs but I'm excited for you!
I was a self professed non-Disney person, but my cousin talked me into it. I went from lets do this for as little money as possible to "I want as much magic as possible". I hope it lives up to the hype.
pinkpeony6210 how many character meals do you think will do? We currently have reservations at Hollywood & Vine( breakfast) and Crystal Palace(dinner). That seems like plenty, but i wondered if I should make a reservation at Tusker house too.

The last two trips I scheduled three character meals (one being a princess meal). I have 4 planned for October, but it's because we haven't tried certain restaurants, and it just so happens to be that they're character meals (like Ohana breakfast). I think two is a great start, but I will admit, I loved Tusker House, so I would nab a reservation if you could
