Has anyone ever stayed here? Should we extend our trip to include more downtime at the resort? We currently have only have one down day which will be spent at downtown Disney in the evening. We are going with 8 adults, 2 babies, and 3 kids (3,4, and 5)
I've never stayed there, but I've heard good things from people who have. If you have the option of extending your trip I think you should so you have more pool time and more relaxation time. When are you going? have a great trip!

I stated there for a my Hs work retreat this summer. We didn't do Disney since we are blacked out with our AP in the summer. DD and I had a blast just hanging at the pool, going around the lazy river and her going down the water slide a million times. She was 3.5. So if you are looking for downtime i would suggest there, we plan to stay there again with a little Disney too.
How many park days do you have? Are you going to the parks on arrival day and the day leave? Overall I think non-park days are nice to have.
As of right now, this is our schedule:
Monday: arrive Tuesday: Magic Kingdom Wednesday: Hollywood Studios Thursday: down day/ downtown Disney at night Friday: Epcot (princess breakfast) Saturday: animal kingdom/ back to MK Sunday: Leave
We are now debating getting in on Saturday instead, relaxing for a bit, then doing MK on Monday with Tuesday off.

Do you already have ADRs booked? How do the crowd calendars compare for those days. I think it would be hard to arrive on Sat and not go to a park until Monday.

We stayed there in my aunt's timeshare a few years ago. The room was great, super close to the parks, plenty of parking (we rented a minivan). I didn't do much at the resort itself, but I have no complaints.
We did 10 days at Wyndham Bonnet Creek when we went for the Princess half marathon last year. We got a 2 bedroom condo there.
The resort was really nice. it was a good location, very close to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios and a quick drive to Disney Springs as well.
There were several really nice pools & water slides, as well as a lazy river both my boys loved (they were 6 & 4 at the time).
We also did the mini golf the resort offered, & while not an amazing course, the kids enjoyed it. The food options at the resort weren't amazing, but other than that we really liked it. I'd stay there again.

The only thing that is definite is that Thursday needs to be an off day and Friday has to be at Epcot for breakfast at Akershus (sp?)
The Wyndham bonnet creek or the Hilton bonnet creek resort?
I saw someone mentioned a 3 yr old going on the water slide above but I'm pretty sure all the watersides have higher height limits at Wyndham - we are there in May too.
I've heard great things and it's so reasonable for the 2 bedroom units!

We are staying at the Wyndham. Do you know the height limit? My 3 year old son is 40 inches and a huge daredevil!

Not sure exactly but it was way beyond my DD's height - same as your son. Maybe 46 or 48"?
