Sorry, this will be long and rambling, LOL.
We are staying club level at the beach club in October (H, and 2 kids- 5 & 7). Our original plan was to get the deluxe dining plan and standard room. My H and I love food, and we thought it would be fun to be able to try lots of different dishes. We weren't originally planning on getting club level, but we got a great deal. But now I'm second guessing all of the food. There will be snacks all day long in the lounge, so I don't know if we'll want to go from drinks & nibbles there to app + entree + dessert at a restaurant. FTR, we plan to go back to the resort daily for a break & swim. We're pretty flexible when it comes to park plans. What would you do?
Our current ADRs:
10/3 Biergarten lunch, Cinderella's Royal Table dinner 10/4 Tusker House lunch, Sanaa Dinner 10/5 Akershus lunch, Be Our Guest Dinner (*Daughter's 5th birthday) 10/6 Chefs de France lunch, Raglan Road dinner 10/7 Spice Road Table lunch, Le Cellier dinner

We've done club level. No way to 2 table service a day even without club level. Maybe 1 day a trip but especially not every day. We never needed or felt like we even needed the dining plan when we've stayed club level

minniemouse We are planning on visiting Hollywood Studios, but have been told that a lot of stuff is under construction/ remodeled. I figured we'd spend a half day or so there.

I would not bother with a dining plan at all. I would drop the first three lunches and potentially the Raglan road dinner. I would leave the the last day as is for now an make a decision after a couple days.

I've definitely talked my H out of the deluxe dining. He's fine with doing no dining plan, but he likes the idea of having everything paid for. Pricing out CRT, BOG, Akershus, Sanaa, and Chefs de France alone is around $660-700 ($$$holy shit, LOL). The regular dining plan would be about $865 (we'd drop a table service place). I could go either way, LOL Can we pay at the restaurants with a gift card? Or would we charge it to our room and pay down the balance with gift cards?
My daughter loves princesses, but are 2 princess meals overkill? I don't think I could bring myself to cancel CRT or BOG since they were very hard reservations to get, and the 2 places we want to go to most.
I would drop the meal plan completely or at least to regular. But I am not a meal plan fan. You can still pre pay - buy a bunch of gift cards. You still have to use your magic band to pay everywhere - whether its' w/ dining credits or money.
I wouldn't do CRT & akershus. I also would only do one table service most days w/ kids that young. It's a lot of time wasted in restaurants - especially when you're resting in the room/swimming daily, too.
any chance of switching the akershus to an 8am breakfast? That was awesome for us.
