Hello! I was at the M's game yesterday for work and they won! Honestly, I was just in it for the social aspect of it because, as much as I want to love baseball - it's just way. too. slow.
Today I just have work, quite a few meetings. I'm definitely looking forward to tomorrow being Friday.

This week seems to be going so slow. I got way stuck on my homework last night. It is so frustrating. Someone else posted they are having the same problem as me so at least I have company. Hoping my professor responds soon so I can just bust it out. I want to be able to play with bkb tonight and tomorrow.
I'm just trying to make it to the weekend. I'm still sick and just ready to be over it all, its been a week! We have a busy weekend so no time to be down. I am glad its raining today but now I need the motivation to get things done.
We got voluntary layoff notices today. I am unsure what to do so I will have to talk to H. Does anyone know anything about unemployment benefits? Especially since this will happen 1 month prior to giving birth

My sister, aunt, and cousin are coming out for the Ms/Yankees series! I'm looking forward to the visit. They're astounded at the ticket prices, compared to Yankee Stadium. Sister and her (soon to be) fiance are also planning to move here, next spring! I'm so freaking excited about that possibility.
Started a new training plan for a 5 miler and a 5K, possibly leading into another marathon, so I've been up at 4 every day this week. I want to make an apple pie for no good reason.

sotally tober, extra innings are the worst. But I'm also happy with the win. I think M's games are the most entertaining when you are close-up behind home plate or in club-level seats, and you can really see what's going on.
Tonight I'm meeting with a few friends to watch the Brooklyn Debate. I'm hoping for a good ol' fashion, verbal ass-whoopin' on some Berner associates - namely Dr. Paul Song and Jeff Weaver.

I usually get up around 5-5:15. James gets up at like 4 and leaves the house at 5ish. This morning, I was startled awake by a bank on the patio door and James yelling, "Hey! Get out of here. You are going to get shot." and then a few seconds later, "No, that's not your shoe." He came in the bedroom a few minutes later (this is just about 5) and I asked him what was up and he said there was someone SLEEPING ON OUR PATIO! A homeless guy, I guess. We have a curtain at our patio door, but there's a little crack where the two panels meet. James said he saw movement and thought it was Billy Bones, so he opened the curtain and there was a dude there. I guess he was homeless? I feel bad for him, but SO SCARY! I'm glad James found him, though, and not me. I would have FREAKED OUT.
The shoe thing, I'm guessing, is that Tman's has a pair of shoes out on the patio (muddy). I don't know why he would have tried to take one of them. That part is a little funny, "No, that's not yoru shoe." Haha.
Anyway, work today. I usually don't work Thursdays, but I will be out of the office for three days next week, so I'm trying to make up a little of that time by putting an extra day in this week. I am not pleased about that.
Tomorrow my friend comes in, so we have some serious housework to tend to this evening in preparation.
I'll delete this photo, but we live in that last building all the way to the right. The verticle one in the photo that backs up to the bushes. As you can see Pac Hwy is pretty close. It's usually pretty quiet back in that part, but we do get some people trying to cut through back there sometimes. The street is private, but I think people think it goes through.

spa, I don't know about benefits, but (hug) (hug2) that seems like a lot to add on to everything else.
theoriginalbean, awesome news! And there is no reason needed for pie on any day
georgeharrison, that would freak me out too! I think most of Western WA is experiencing an increase in the homeless population. I used to think it was just a big city thing, but it's expanding.
Man I did not want to get out of bed this morning. I have a lovely pile of work on my desk that I should get down to.. blegh.. my non motivation might be back today.
ETA karebear219, you work in the banking industry right? Last night D and I went to a Redfin class and there was a loan officer there that we talked with and we are planning on setting up a meeting for her to review our financials to help us prep for applying for a construction loan in a year and a half. The class was at a brewery and she and I both enjoyed the same cider - can she ethically accept a bottle of cider just as a thank you since we won't actually be applying for a loan with her at this time?
I've been up since 4. I had insomnia and then had a few good contractions. And then, sadly, they went away. I'm at work now feeling pretty salty and irritable.
I have my Desmond dog with me today so maybe with the weather being nice I'll try to take him for a long walk this afternoon.
Some of you know my youngest nephew has been adopted legally from an orphanage in west Africa for 3 years now and hasn't been allowed to come home to his family because of political red tape. He came home to California yesterday. The photos my SIL is sending of youngest nephew playing with his new brother are the sweetest thing ever.
Today is my last day with my current work team. I'm holding it together and scrambling to finish some tasks and pack up to move desks but I'm a chocolate mess inside.
And finally, my freaking in-laws gave us 3 days notice of their intention to visit this weekend. So that disturbance in the force y'all will feel tomorrow morning is hurricane MIL making landfall, just FYI. I have a ton to do tonight to get the house ready for them.
georgeharrison , that would have scared me poopless. Seriously take me awhile to get back to sleep - and I mean for the next week!! Do you have a friend with a big dog you can borrow for a couple of days?
We have a lab (who is a barker) and a doberman, so we are cool on the big dog front. They aren't very alert when James is home, but they are good when James is gone. Otherwise, I might be more anxious about the creeper.
