Happy Friday! This week has felt really long, even though I had some good stuff going on.
I woke up at midnight last night with cramps and my back freaking out. I took some ibuprofen and grabbed the heating pad and was able to get back to sleep. It did mean missing the gym this morning. I'm disappointed as I always look forward to back and bicep day, so hopefully I can get that workout in tomorrow morning and then I'll do some spin bike stuff on Sunday.
Tomorrow we're heading across the water to help H's mom move. I'm less than thrilled, but I know she will appreciate the help. DD doesn't have soccer this weekend, so the 3 of us will be over there helping her.
Sunday I'm already overwhelmed with stuff to do to get ready for next week. Costco, grocery shopping and meal prep will all be on the agenda.
I have a short week next week as next weekend I'm throwing H a birthday party and I'm taking Friday off to deep clean my house.
@lauralynne, girl you are strong but be careful! You are going to run yourself ragged! We care about you and want you successful AND healthy my dear! Let me know if you need any help.
I am just glad it Friday. The last couple weeks have been a challenge to get through and IDK why. I love my job, once I am here I am fine, I just want more down time then just the weekend. Maybe I just need a mental health day.. who knows.

@lauralynne, how much caffeine do you consume a day? You sound busy, busy, busy
TGIF! I enjoyed the debate last night, but still need to catch up on the CE&P thread. I think the CE&P ladies give the best debate summaries online
This weekend will be centered around my Legislative District Caucusing on Sunday. I'm guessing I'll be caucusing from Noon to 6pm, maybe longer. I really hope we do not have the drama of Caucus Round II that Nevada had.
WOT?*, I think I saw that you are also a Hillary delegate (some post on CE&P)? If so, best of luck and smooth sailing vibes your way this weekend! I'm going to bring extra water and snacks for the LONG day

My job is for a supplement company and they are really gung-ho on health. Every Friday, we have "Fresh Fruit Friday" and they load the breakroom with all kinds of fruit. I look forward to this every week. By Friday, my produce at home is either rotten or gone.
I'm hoping to leave here a few minutes early today to get home and get busy on cleaning. I pick my friend up at the airport at 6:30!
We are seeing Paul on Sunday and having happy hour at Chandler's beforehand. I have never been there for happy hour. Does anyone know if it's crazy - specifically on a Sunday?
It's the daily computer freezing time. Yesterday it didn't freeze. I was so happy.
Today I'm trying to relax since bkb is going to be gone pretty much all weekend so I can clean and run errands then. Race Sunday morning and then 40 year old birthday party for my awful SIL Sunday. So dreading. Wish I could drink.
I'm so glad the weekend is (almost) here!! Not a whole lot going on this weekend. Going to a tapas restaurant for dinner with a couple girlfriends tonight. Nothing on the agenda as of now for tomorrow, and hanging with the bestie & our pups Sunday.
Date with the mister went well the other evening. I really freaking like him. Which is exciting & so very frightening. Counting down the days til I get to see him again.
I'm struggling to stay focused today. Argh. I just want to be anywhere but here! Ha!
I gave in this morning and went to a walk in clinic. I felt bad but having all the kids with me got me pushed ahead and in and out in about an hour. Now I have a stash of meds to drop, snort and gulp in hopes of getting some good relief quick.
We have a handful of things to do this weekend and we need to start de-winteizing and getting things situated for our first camping trip of the year. I also might get to meet a SN this weekend! I seriously love our little group
Finally having a decent day and my bestie is as well, so we spent the morning being silly over FB messenger and that felt good. I'm trying to bring my sketchbook to work daily now to occupy me when it's slow. Working on something artsy (and non-computer) keeps my mind a little more focused on the present and now and away from painful things so I think this is a good practice to try to incorporate more into my day. H had a bad day yesterday as well, so we went out to dinner. Only Five Guys but it got us out of the house and into the sun a bit, which is good.
My friend found us someone to mow our lawn tomorrow, so that's excellent as it needs doing terribly and H's allergies have been killer so I don't want him doing it. Tonight after work we just need to go out and pick up all the sticks and branches our trees dropped (we save them for campfire wood for our one trip a year, lol) to help prep and I think I'll pick all the bluebells that are in the yard proper to put in vases rather than let them just get mown. Might go get a pedi tomorrow with the friend as well. Sunday I'm possibly going to her house to hang out, but it's some trunk show. I swear that's all she hosts these days *roll eyes*.

I don't have trunk shows.... lol you can always come see me! Although I do have pole church at 11 on Sunday but other than that.....
I was in Vegas last week with the girls and DH, who desperately needed some time off. Mom lives there and took the girls for a day, so DH and I could have an afternoon and date-night. Food was great. Time alone was even better. I'll have to get the XH to take the girls more often.
One of my good friends also moved down to Vegas over the summer. Her daughter and my younger granddaughter were best friends in school, and she was my Girl Scout co-leader, so we made arrangements to meet up and let the girls splash in the pool. In-and-Out for dinner afterwards. While we were hanging out in the pool, I asked how her DH's new job was going (promotion moved them to Las Vegas). In the discussion, she said her H was working as a station manager for Delta (I thought he did IT, not aircraft maintenance) and in a half-joking manner asked "I wonder if he could track down an old friend of mine. lol." My best college buddy married my XH's best Navy buddy. We used to date together (XH and I had the cars; she and XH's Navy buddy needed rides and XH and I would therefore need dates. Their dating was how XH and I ended up together and married. Kid you not. lol. She was also there for my first pregnancy and delivery when XH was on a ship for six months, we were roommates when I was pregnant with our second - they moved just weeks before she was born. Etc. A LOT of history there.)
Back to story...I was talking to my friend and mentioned XH's friend's name. She said "I know that name. We had dinner in Hawaii with a guy with that name from San Diego." I said "My friend lived in San Diego when we lost touch." After mentioning the wife's name and their daughter's name, it turns out IT'S THE SAME PEOPLE I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR! I just sent an e-mail to the husband at his work e-mail to say hi and have his wife, my college Bestie, give me a call or an e-mail.
I'll possibly be phone banking tonight and/or tomorrow and I'll be at the leg. convention on Sunday, supporting Hillary. Sorry, Bernie Sanders supporters. I'm staunchly Hillary.
madDawg228 - yep, I'm a delegate too. Thanks. I'm going to send you a message in a bit about something I learned at last night's delegate training, so we don't have another Nevada situation.
