like the tubes and things or are there other parts? I'd probably try and replace the tubes, membranes just incase of any cracking or things like that. The shields I wouldn't unless they looked as though they needed it. Or i'd say call insurance and see if they cover a new one then just get a new one lol
It's been 3 years since I used mine and I replaced the tubes and the flanges on my Medela. Those are the parts that held on to some moisture so I was afraid of mold.

Sounds like I should just get new stuff. Anyone have experience with the hands free bras? I didn't get one last time. I am thinking it might be nice to have one this time. Do they really work?

I have/had one, and it made it so much easier to pump both breasts at once. It really works! I got mine at the Baby and Family boutique at Evergreen. It was a Godsend.

i had one with my daughter and used it every day..with my son i never found it..and when i did find it, i got lazy. i wouldn't say it's necessary, you just learn to adapt. it's probably easier, but i could hold both up with one hand and use my phone with the other, anyway, so it wasn't a huge deal.
I got new tubing for mine but otherwise used my old pump at work and got a new pump through insurance for home.
How does this work? I can get one through my insurance but no one I have asked can give me a straight answer.
Do I just buy an approved one and send them a receipt? Confused FTM
Unfortunately every insurance company is different. I was able to buy one and submit the receipt, up to $300, but not all plans are the same. I got the best answers from moms who had already been through the process and worked for my company. Do you know any of those you could ask?

You should be able to call your insurance company and ask customer service what your plan provides.
The Baby and Family Boutique at Evergreen will bill your insurance for you with a prescription from your provider - not sure if that's where you're delivering or not, but your hospital may be able to do the same thing for you.

With my insurance at the time they gave me a list of medical supply companies that I could order the pump through, but I had to wait until the baby was born to order it. So I called the companies to see what the options were and then picked the company I was going to order from and set up my account so that once I had the baby all I had to do was call and tell them so they would ship it. It was fully covered. I would just be a stickler and make them answer fully or make them pass you to someone who can answer how they do the process so you can get it started.
Thanks guys! I am surrounded by like 95% guys so they don't have a lot of info. The first try with the insurance was a PITA, but I will do it on a day off
