I had a very realistic dream that I was in a plane crash into the ocean and then had my legs amputated below my knees due to shark bites I got while waiting to be rescued. In the dream I was in my childhood home, and called my dad into my room one morning. For some reason he had no idea what happened until I asked him to turn the radio off because I had to show him something. I pulled the blankets back to reveal my healed stumps. He didn't seem shocked and walked over to get me crutches. Ummm... How are crutches going to help if BOTH of my legs were amputated? Then, in the dream, I posted on here about it and many of you opened up about prosthetics that you had. So many of us never knew. It was very strange.
In other news... Today is DD2's bday party at a bounce house. 6 kids are confirmed as coming, but her "crush" never RSVP'd so I don't know if he'll show up or not. I hope he does, she'll be so excited!
Tomorrow is her actual birthday. 7 years old already. Boy does time fly.
This week I have been breaking out so badly, was super bloated, and ravenously hungry. Yesterday thanks to some cramping I realized it probably was an ovarian cyst responsible for the crazy symptoms. It must have ruptured or shrank or something, because today I feel worlds better and my skin already looks better. Stupid PCOS.
My brother and his gf will be in town this weekend for a separate event, but I get to see them for a little bit today and hopefully we can do lunch tomorrow.
I'm working all weekend. I am and have been exhausted all week. I went to bed early and my door slammer roommate kept me up again. I'm really ready to look for studio or one bedroom apts. My apartment isn't even great (highway noise is ridic) but I feel safe in that area. Between my roommate and the highway noise, I may never sleep right again. I thought about renting a hotel room just to get 12 hours of sleep with no noise.
I was going to do a beach day, but the forecast called for rain, so I didn't go. It hasn't rained yet, and now I am getting annoyed. I haven't gotten out of bed yet and am just watching shows on Hulu.
I need to clean today, but I have no motivation to do it.
I went for a hike this morning and I feel so good right now! I'm taking this as a sign that I really need to be consistent with exercise in order to get out of this rut (physical and emotional). I'm going to start making it a priority again. I texted BF a picture from the trail, and he said he'd want to come with me next time, which definitely gives me even more motivation.
Going out for drinks/apps with my work BFF tonight. I can't wait to have some girl time (and if it's still warm enough when we get out, some outdoor drinking)!

My knee is still in bad shape. I told MH it feels squishy. He touched it and he thinks I have water in my knee. Apparently that's a real thing. I have a doctors appointment Monday. Ugh. Getting old sucks.

When you have water in your ear, don't you put alcohol in there to dry it up? This calls for day drinking to attempt and dry your knee out... #soundlogic

The fluid sacs around your knee can get inflamed leading to that squishy feeling. Anti-inflammatories and extra water would be your friend. It's not like it's water just floating around your knee.
It's my birthday today (Sunday down here ) so I am still in bed.. I asked xh if I could have DS back around midday so we could do something fun this afternoon and I just saw that he's texted to ask if he can drop him off at 10am.. No fucker, it's 9am and I'm still in bed and you've seen your kid for like 1 day out of the past 9, take advantage ffs!

I've been doing RICE and taking IBs for a week and it's no better. I've dislocated my knee before, but I don't remember how long it was inflamed like this. Plus, I figure having it checked out to make sure I didn't do any worse damage dislocating it can't hurt.
Someone told me this morning that it was great, way better than he had anticipated. Let us know what you think!
Good movie but definitely a little too intense for young kids. Also if you get motion sick easily then avoid seeing it in 3D; there are a few sequences where it moves fast and it is a bit disorienting.
