A Berner just posted this on an another Berner's FB. The comments are actually really thoughtful, but with a lot of Hillary hate. Both are acquaintances, if that, so I'm just watching.
I haven't read the entire things yet, but it sums my thought evolution on Bernie to a tee.

Sooo long. But I agreed with the parts I read. I agree that sanders and the Bernie bros are the equivalent of tea partiers in regards to their refusal to compromise or to say that they won't vote for Hillary if she wins the nom.

THIS IS SPOT FUCKING ON:
"It turns out that, every year, year after year, he introduced the same legislation to make a point, and no one else ever seems to have signed on to it. To me, this looked like showmanship rather than governance — an exercise designed to highlight his own support for a very progressive agenda. The hard work is to draft a bill that your co-legislators can get behind, in the political climate that exists and in the place where you work. I concluded that Sanders was less interested in actually accomplishing anything than he was in staging protests where he could claim some kind of moral high ground, not interested in getting in the weeds and doing anything to actually achieve his goals within the Congress he worked in. "

OK I like this part best:
4. This new conflation of speaking fees while out of public office with corruption while in public office is analytically false while superficially appealing, rendering it all the more slippery and scurrilous. Sanders insinuates that because Clinton gave talks at Goldman, she must be doing their bidding. A look at the list of the speeches Clinton gave and received money for reveals that the overwhelming majority were for women’s rights groups and unions. But Sanders focuses solely on the three Goldman Sachs speeches. He notably ignores that a speech she gave in 2014 at the Goldman 10,000 Women dinner argued forcefully for equal pay for women and gender parity. Her use of that platform to push the same progressive agenda she has been at the forefront of for decades is conveniently absent from Sanders’ screeds against her. This speech, while unpaid, gives the lie to his accusation that speaking to Goldman employees equates to corruption or that her policy positions are dictated by Goldman.

Seriously, who wrote this? Because I love you. And this:
"I cannot believe my eyes when I read some of the comments on the public sites. It’s like they were written by the Tea Party — just a frothing cauldron of hatred of Hillary and mindless repetition of debunked rightwing lies and new false Sanders memes about her supposed corruption or her murderous tendencies."

OMG! Yes I am still reading. I am slow, OKAY! THIS:
"Can you imagine if Clinton proposed such an absurd tax plan? She’d be ripped to shreds for her inability to do math. No — the only way she can remotely be considered for this office is by being smarter, more accomplished, more experienced, better prepared. But that’s not enough — Sanders now (again, cleverly) attacks her experience and her qualifications and her preparedness as flaws — oh, she’s too much of a realist, she’s not a visionary, she doesn’t think big enough, she’s part of the system, if she doesn’t make impossible promises, she’s the “establishment” who doesn’t want progressive change, but if she does say she wants progressive change it’s a just a calculation to capture Sanders’ voters (never mind her record)."
THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS! OMG! SHE CAN NEVER DO ANY FUCKING THING RIGHT. AND IF SHE DOES, SHE'S RIDING SANDERS COATTAILS. NO motherfuckers, she and Sanders voted the same NINETY-FUCKING-FOUR percent of the time. 94%! She is not a fucking Republican, unless he is too. STAHP!

And finally, THIS!:
"The rhetoric both he and his campaign use also illustrates these issues of temperament that I find so off-putting. Attacking the character rather than the argument of people who disagree with you is inappropriate in a president. Dismissing as irrelevant or ignorant entire swaths of voters who don’t agree with you is inappropriate in a president. The Sanders campaign has done both, and it has done so repeatedly and deliberately."
And I am done. This was spot on with EVERYTHING I have been saying!

Yeah, I am soooooo not reading comments. Not today, satan!
Neither of those says Revolution Messaging trains its interns to troll. One merely states one would HOPE the service does not include trolling while implying it does.
"Meanwhile, while Clinton was working in the trenches to understand the issues and learn from her health care task force failure, which then led to CHIP and insurance for millions of children, where was Sanders? “Literally, standing right behind you” will laugh his supporters, because there’s a picture of him behind her at a photo-op from 1994. But other than standing in the photo, what did he do to “support” the effort? He voted against the bill. What legislation has he drafted that has helped any child or person get insurance?"
I did not know this yet. Flames. Flames on the side of my face.
If he actually did pay $16 M to troll the Internet the plan has backfired spectacularly. The people "shilling" for Bernie online are horrible and do nothing to inspire readers to vote for the Bern. At this point in the game you can't throw a $1 bill without hitting someone saying how they have been turned off by the online Bernie Sander's brigade. "I used to lean Sanders but his supporters ruined it."

It seems like most of what Revolution Messaging did was help with fundraising: drafting emails, putting his message out on Twitter/YouTube/FB/etc:
"Sanders hired D.C.-based Revolution Messaging to run online fundraising and manage the campaign’s digital advertising, branding, video creation, website development, texts to supporters and online store."

Trolling or not, $16M is a lot of money to spend on one part of winning an election that's not about having money in politics. I think trolling comes naturally to many Bernie Bros.

Yeah, I feel like the Berners I know aren't getting paid to say some surprising things or forward any meme someone posts. I feel like it's free to Bernie.

Oh, I agree. I also would not be shocked to find out it was true. It's just not a talking point I am going to use without evidence. The rest of the article is plenty of reason to hate him. LOL.

I do wish there were receipts for that particular point. The amount of anger/hate I've seen IRL from Bernie Bros shocked me.

Yeah. I would feel a lot better about people if this was proven to be true. LOL. Buuuut, after shit like gamergate? We all know trolls aren't necessary for this shit.
