I skyped with a guy last night that I have an upcoming date with (we haven't met yet).
I'm not sure I like his voice. Which seems pretty petty. But I think we might have good chemistry so I'll try and ignore it. heh.
LOL I hate my own voice. I purposefully try to lower it. I'm all "how the eff can anyone date me and listen to me talk?" when I hear a recording.
Also, have you ever noticed people look different to you after you start dating? Like my exhusband is a butterface. I never noticed until we got divorce.

LOL! Yes. I mean - trivia guy last year that I fell in love with ... was not my physical ideal. He's scrawny and balding and dorky. But, I fucking loved him. So - I try and give people a shot because love and penis does weird things!
Hopefully his weird voice thing disappears for you then!

I hate my recorded voice, too! It sounds deeper in my head. When I listen to it via recording, I'm always like, "THAT is what I sound like!?! Yuck!"

I had to transcribe recorded interviews I did and it was painful. I sound like I'm 12!
I think this flameful. A coworker is organizing a bridal lunch for me and I want to tell her thanks but no thanks. I'm hourly (along with 3 of the other women) so we will have to use PTO. Also one of the women was snarky in her response to the invite that she didn't know I was included on about how we've never done anything like this for anyone else. Lastly, coworker asked for my registry. Which just...no. If they already feel like I'm getting special treatment with the lunch they're going to be pissed if there are gifts. It's just so awkward!

Flameful, especially in MM terms. Since our honeymoon was unexpectedly/tragically cut short, we booked a mini make-up honeymoon in Belize for Memorial Day weekend. While I should be happy and excited about it, I found our a week later, which was last week that our insurance claim for the new dog was declined (I know, I know. We shouldn't have counted our chickens before they hatched). Money has been kind of tight lately especially since booked a last minute trip home from Australia in November, but this Belize trip is a really good deal, so we wanted to get it booked! Now, I am kicking myself. It isn't going to break the bank or anything, we were just expecting to use the insurance money for this trip.
