Their pricing is amazing for ivf. $4700 for one cycle plus meds. My RE is $11.5k plus meds. Even with traveling There (New York state), it would save us $6k. I told my DH about it and he is all why are they so cheap? Something must be wrong with them! I do have a phone consult with them in 3 weeks.
I haven't heard of them but that's amazing the difference in price.
We qualified for an ivf study that was $3500 everything included otherwise it would have been almost $20k out of pocket if not more.
I am not sure how the out of pocket pricing for ivf works but I think it's definitely worth a consult. I'd have your questions ready and trust your instincts.
Thanks spearmintleaf. I assume they have a lot more volume as well, which I don't mind. I also heard they don't turn people away based on their numbers either. I figure more volume, means more chances for them to learn things.
The price difference for us means we can pay cash versus putting it on a credit card. It also means we can afford to do more than one cycle if we need it (before I had always said one cycle and that is it).

I think there are a lot of variables that you have to consider. I would check the SART data, just to get an idea what their success rates are. The CDC also has a more comprehensive data set on individual clinic's stats. Does the price include ICSI, assisted hatching, freezing, anesthesia, (etc) ? Will you travel there and do all monitoring, or just ER and ET? You may have to pay extra if you decide to do monitoring remotely. How much time can you take off work? A cycle takes about 2-3 weeks. Where will you stay and for how long? Do you need to buy plane tickets? I think with plane tickets and hotels, that price could add up. Also I think you need to consider your diagnosis. Are they experienced with working with patients with your diagnosis, or do they just give everyone basically the same protocol?
The volume of patients must be astronomical for them to be able to charge that little.

Yes it includes everything but PGS. It includes monitoring with that price, but you can also monitor locally and not pay that fee (obv you pay that locally instead). So you would travel for a week for just ER/ET and 2-2.5 weeks for monitor, ER, ET. I think if we did it, I would monitor locally and just travel for one week for ER and ET. I can Telework so I dont have to take much time off, and we have points on SW to where most of our flights would be covered.
I have a consult set up with the RE and they would go over their protocol with me then. I have to send all my records up before the apt.
I have endo, but all my other numbers are good and I have responded well (but slow-I usually have long cycles) to menopur for IUIs. My DH did have slight MFI, but through meds his numbers are all normal.
I am definitely interested in what they would recommend.
ETA: their SART data for my age is ~40%. My RE office is 50% (used to be 60% under old scoring). Time is of the essence for me (due to kidneys), so is 10% more successful worth it? I dont know. My DH is not on board for the NY clinic, and is on board for our local clinic. We will see what happens
I don't know a lot of info about them, but as an anecdote, my friend went there and got pregnant after one round of IVF. She had the baby seven months ago, and has several embryos frozen.

Honestly, CNY's SART data numbers aren't great. (BTW, I love SART's new look, so much easier to read!) I know you can't/aren't supposed to compare between clinics, but that would worry me and I would ask them about it when you have your consult.

I went to the SART site and love the new look too!
I just saw this but I went there and got pregnant because of them (not Ivf though) they often have specials on Ivf so you can do it for even cheaper. The staff is incredible, the setting is more like a spa. I did have one issue where they mixed up my blood work but they waved all my co pays after that and the doctor called to apologize and tell us how they'd prevent it in the future. Their office was only 5 min from my house but I would have driven much further.
