I'm sorry your going through this. I had 2 mmc between DS1 and 2. Definitely push for a RPL panel. We also did a hysteroscopy and I had scar tissue removed ( most likely from my 1st d&c) they also found a blood clotting issue. I had a perfectly normal pregnancy the first time around with zero issues. It was so frustrating. It took me 2 yrs, 2 d&cs and a surgery to get pregnant with DS2 but it happened. Hang in there I know what a sad, frustrating, helpless time this can be
@this I'm assuming you see an endo for your Hashimoto's? I also have that and am monitored very closely with pregnancy due to Hashimoto's/hypothyroid. I had a m/c before I had DS and I was literally diagnosed with my thyroid issues 2 days before that BFP. To this day, I'll never know if that's what caused my m/c, but since I've been monitored closely since then I haven't had any issues.
Why would this happen? Why would two pregnancies in a row just not develop?
The only thing I can think of is that I developed postpartum hypothyroidism (and then dx Hashimotos), but my levels have been good both times I got pg. So that wouldn't be it, right?
I know, I know these things just happen. But fuck. Twice in a row. I had the first D&C three months ago today.
My doctor told me that some people can't get or stay pregnant until their thyroid is stable. Maybe your thyroid isn't just right yet. Do you take medication? Do they adjust your dose?
(My knowledge on this is limited. I could totally be talking out of my ass. But I'm still very symptomatic and my medication is still being adjusted. But my doctor said that your thyroid controls so much, that some people can't get pregnant until it's just right).
I am so sorry. I can't even imagine how hard this must be. I would definitely ask if they checked your progesterone. If they did and it was normal I would ask for the RPL panel.

That really sucks ass, I'm sorry.
I had two MCs between DD and DS, one being ectopic. We had chromosomal testing done on MMC #2, and it turned out to be Trisomy 11, which is incompatible with life. It wasn't anything I did or anything wrong with me - it was just a crappy meeting of sperm/egg.
Not knowing the why was the hardest thing, and once I knew why, it was somewhat easier to accept and move on.

I too would push for the RPL.
I'm so sorry. My heart just breaks for you
I've been diagnosed since DD was six months old. My TSH was a 1.2 last week (since luv2rn4fun and birdmom asked too). So I really don't think that's it unless it can still be the cause even with normal levels? Idk. I have an appointment with my endo next week so I guess I'll bring it up.
Based on those numbers it sounds unlikely to be a cause but worth a conversation. My doctor.also checks free T4 but I am not as sure what they look for there. I also.have Hashimotos and have for years. I don't believe it was a cause in either m/c but did see an endocrinologist after my first loss just to be sure.

That should be good. I would definitely ask my endo... but I (not a doctor, obvi) thinks it sounds normal.
