You might luck out if they are planning to do a soft opening for the ride. It doesn't hurt to stop by the ride a few times to see if the CMs are grabbing random guests to test it out.
FYI- that is also the opening date at DCA for the 'new' ride.
This makes me happy. I hadn't see that for DCA We aren't going back to WDW until January, but we're doing our first DL trip on our way back to Hawaii, arriving late June.
I felt Soarin' withdrawl on our last WDW trip...I'm excited to be one of the first to get to try to 'new' Soarin'

I'm a bit sad about it. While I am excited for the new ride they just fixed the screen and restored the film for the ride at DCA and it was down for awhile. I'm glad that I got to ride it a few weeks ago when I went up for a day trip but sad that I probably wont make it up there before they switch it out.

I'm a little sad about it too. We moved from CA to FL 3 yrs ago, and Soarin' was a a good memory....both of DCA and of our old home. We lived just past the hill from the orange grove part. Part of me was hoping that it would stay at DCA, since it actually makes sense to have it there.
Here is where I will admit to it not being one of my favorite rides, even though we ride it fairly often. It isn't fear of the perceived height or anything like that...it's because I don't like my feet dangling. If there was even just a metal bar or something that I could feel underfoot, I would be able to fully enjoy it.

The foot dangling is my favorite part! Like my feet are usually tired and just having them hang without touching anything is nice, lol.
