I have to get in touch with Amazon. I preordered it and it hasn't shipped yet. It's telling me that I will have it today, but I don't think that's possible.
(she has also written the recaps of the other books too on this site)
I'm on chapter two and I love it!
Fucking A, man. Maggie is a strait up genius. I just read the recap. I LOVE THESE BOOKS SO HARD.
Also, Amazon tells me that I likely have same day shipping so I might still get it today! H is on bedtime duty tonight and I'm going to hang a mental Do Not Disturb sign and check out with the book for hours.

It's really unfair of me to snag it on my way home when I still have 1/3 of Lady Midnight left and I have Kate Mosse's The Taxidermist's Daughter waiting for me on my kindle right behind it, right?

This is probably more for the book randoms post, but I checked in here last night, read your post and then went to read The Raven King. I was using my B&N receipt as a book mark and at the bottom there was a 'Books you might like" section. The other Raven Cycle books were on it, but also Lady Midnight. I think it's odd that within 2 minutes I was hearing about Lady Midnight (a book I'd never heard of) in a Raven King post, and then seeing Lady Midnight in my Raven King book.
I think there's something wrong with me. I've never fallen in love with these books and I feel like I should have. I had to listen to the first one on audio to even like it. I didn't care for it at all when I first read it.

I'm broken ... (
I rated the first book 3 stars, the second one 4, and the third one 5. It grew on me. Jury is still out on the last book. But I can completely see how not everyone would love it - it's a weird mix of fantasy and ya and realism, and there isn't a single 'normal' character in the book. Like, not a one.
