It's only 25 miles. I am feeling especially defeated about the commute and work in general right now. It comes in waves. Sometimes I don't mind it so much. Lately, I mind it a lot.
Tman is doing standardized testing at school this week. I hate these tests. One year he'll do super well, the next year, he'll do poorly. He gets pretty good grades in school, but when he does poorly on these tests I wonder if he's not retaining the info. I wish the tests would just go away.
James has been working a lot and Tman and I miss him. We can use the money, though.
Nothing going on today after work/school. I'll do an hour or so of work for my old company, and that's probably it.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday (wish it were Friday).
Edit: I just read online that the report is that a woman either fell or jumped off the Madison street overpass onto the freeway. And now I feel like a tool for being irritated about the traffic.
My commute this morning was interesting. I got onto a mostly full bus (not unusual) and spotted an open seat only to be told by the douchenozzle taking up two seats that a woman can't sit next to him. I get some people have very strict religious (or they use religion to hide their sexism) beliefs, but HELL TO THE NO on those restrictions on PUBLIC TRANSIT. I just whatever'd and sat in a different seat in the back. BUT douchenozzle ended up exiting the bus when a bunch of women decided to stand near his seats. Good luck getting Downtown on a female-free bus during Peak Hours douchenozzle!
Other than that, it's been an okay day.
Tomorrow is Administrative Professionals Day! So be nice to your Admin (if you have one)
Just kind of dragging today. didn't sleep that great was awake off and on. Just got back from Sbux with my free drink (first one on the new program). I have pole tonight.
Not much else on my end. Just plunking away at work.
Sorry its been a rough start for most of you minion, how many offers did you guys get? Thats exciting! crossing fingers for a good one.
Nothing exciting here. I have a work out to do once I get the motivation. I've gotten most of the other things I had on my list done already so thats nice and I have some prep for dinner done already in hopes of making it a quick and easy thing later.
Court went fine. I'm home now and not working anymore! I'm currently eating a disgusting smoothie of castor oil, sun butter, and stewed Italian plums. People swear by castor oil but my doula told me not to take is straight and to mix it with fruit and protein. We shall see.
dana86 - We had one pre-inspection. I think the people who set that up are putting in an offer. I haven't heard much else from our agent. I guess we will find out more tonight.
oh man ilovebed, lol I hope that starts labor and not a bout of sickness! Have you still been having random contractions?
Yes. For days. And my cervix is ripe which is the only reason I decided to try the castor oil. I'm hoping it just helps kick start what is already in progress. Plus. My OB is on call tonight so the timing would be great. Right now I just feel sick to my stomach though.
ilovebed, here's some 'let's get something started baby vibes' I know you have been waiting and trying about everything.
Today was an ok day nothing too exciting. My old dog is with us for the week and has a fatty tumor by his bladder, which makes him drink a gallon of water a day and then need to pee all night. We have a dog door but with his bad leg he doesn't like the stairs. Hence, I have to wake up and let him out...
He seems to manage to navigate stairs just fine when he wants to come upstairs and lay by my bed though. I should be grateful he is still alive and kicking but the 2 of them just wind each other up...
Travel week for me. We are scheduled to move into our new house on the 11th. I am hoping when I go next weekend it will be mostly done. The tile guy was delayed because of other delays and now is having a hard time fitting us in. Once the tile is hung the house is done! We have slowly been moving some items over and hope to do more this weekend. We have a Yukon rental that is being covered by insurance while our Subaru is being repaired which means we can move small pieces of furniture in our garage over.
