Because it was AMAZING. Seriously. I've stayed at most of the deluxe and moderate Disney resorts and this beat them all. (Not having a monorail is the one thing that a few have over it).
The way they cater to kids was fantastic. The pool blew all other pools out of the water, along with the kids program. My daughter bawled when we got home because "I miss the hotel!" lol. And the food we ate was great and more reasonably priced than the Disney resort hotels.
It is pricey, but it is around the same as the deluxe resorts. If you are looking for that level of a hotel, I would totally do the Four Seasons unless the monorail is your number 1 priority.
Do they offer transportation to the airport at all? That's one of the things we factor into costs.
The do but not for free. H actually left on a business trip from there so he utilized the service. It cost him $50.
I also realized that someone else had another transportation question last time we talked. They DO offer transportation (free) to the parks. And the nice thing is that they are on a strict time schedule so you don't have to wait around if you plan around their time table.

IMO, I think it sounds great
I would say it also depends on your plans. Are you doing more at the parks? Then def stay more at the GF. If you are hanging around the resort more, then 4S.
I just saw this!! Thanks for the review! Now DH wants to do a suite at Waldorf since weather can be hit or miss in November and we want full pool access at 4S. Maybe this will convince him!
