Very similar. I haven't used one, but the AP board loves them. I think they're a bit less bulky than the Ergo.
We have both and I think they're really similar: I preferred our Beco, though, when they were tiny b/c I didn't have to use an infant insert like the Ergo.

I have had a Beco & two Ergos (organic & performance). The performance ergo is my favorite, then beco, then organic ergo. Beco is much smaller/less bulky than the original & organic Ergo, but similar to the sport & performance. I'm really tall and I like the fit of the Ergo better, but I think shorter moms would probably prefer the Beco. You really can't go wrong with either.

I love our Beco. I spent a long time debating between it and the Ergo and am really glad we went with it. I have used an Ergo some and find the Beco to be more comfortable, especially for toddlers.
Lu is 2.5 and 37 lbs and I can still use it comfortably.
Do you have the Butterfly or the Gemini? (Guessing the Butterfly, since the Gemini came out well after Lucy was an infant, right?) We decided on the Gemini and bought it a couple weeks ago, but wonder if I'm missing out on something by not choosing the Butterfly... I know the Butterfly has a taller body and a built-in infant insert, but the pros of the Gemini included it being supposedly a little simpler to use. Since H will be the primary user once E starts daycare at about four months (the center is in H's office building, so he'll commute with E by bus), we opted for the simpler structure of the Gemini.
I totally see how people end up with so many carriers. I am tempted to buy the Butterfly... and then we'd have it, the Gemini, and the K'Tan...

Hmm...not sure: the Gemini was great from Day 1 with our 8 lb.-ers: I've never used the Butterfly, but I don't think you can really go wrong with either.
