Grand Floridian?

Has anyone stayed there? Any thoughts or reviews on it? We were considering a fall trip, and just got an email with a discount code that includes the GF. I've never stayed there before, but I've stayed at the Polynesian.

They have a new Alice in wonderland themed water play area for kids that is super cute!!

We were there In January. We stayed club level. I don't know that I'd pay for club level again, but the resort is beautiful. We lived being on the monorail, too.

Nope, but I would and probably will try one of their studios in the next few years since they're one of the few studios that allow 5. The pool area looks so fun - the alice & wonderland stuff!

We haven't stayed there, but we have swam there ( DVC pool hopping rules) The Mad Hatter Splash Area is awesome. The DVC rooms are in an outlying building and I know some people feel it is too far, or not covered the whole way or something. The penguin ( from Mary Poppins) fountain in the DVC lobby is very cute

I didn't know about the new splash area, but it sounds great for my 5-year old.

We stayed there last December. It was nice but not anything special. It does not seem worth the cost.

Our favorite monorail resort is the Poly.

I have to say I love the Poly. It's just set back enough to be " away " from it all and immersive, but it's close enough to be convenient. Plus the transportation options are AMAZING. Boat to MK, Monorail, Walk to TTC for Epcot Monorail, Busses AND Walk to Grand Floridian. Really Really convenient.

I love the Poly too, but we were only able to get a discount for GF, which is why I'm asking about it.

I think it will be awesome. If you love the Poly it's right up there.

I found these images from the day we spent at The Grand Floridian of the water play area. Oh and that Margarita looks totally normal, but I got HAMMERED. I have no idea why it was so strong.

@savestheday, I think we are going DVC pool hop there next trip! DD1 is doing the Pirates kids cruise that leaves from the GF so I figure it's the perfect thing to entertain DD2 during it. Love DVC perks!

ilikedonuts I love the DVC pool hopping privilege. It's so great. Next trip I might try Boardwalk on an Epcot day for a break.
