I'm a SAHM and my girls are getting bigger and I would like to maybe start working part time. My sons school ( private Christian school ) just posted a job that sounds perfect for me. I'm just really on the fence because half of the application is about my belief. Yes I am Christian and I go to church when I can. I don't think I'm active enough in church to apply.
This is why Im torn. The actual job skills and experience I have. I'm just lacking in my faith. Should I still apply?
The job is a part time clerk to the finance department

Being a PT worker in finance shouldn't overlap too much with issues of faith, and it may actually be a good thing that you're a teeny bit removed from the church. My MIL is VERY active in her church and when she worked for it she actually felt conflicted - she felt it led to a gossipy environment b/c everyone was in each others business, and so much of her private and public lives were enmeshed.
Anyway, as the PP said, there's no obligation to applying and you never know where it could lead.
Go for it. Like PP's said, if you're offered, you can deal with your personal feelings at that point.
If you go to church, and your son already goes to school there, you are probably more active than you realize. Let them decide if you are active enough....

thanks everyone for your words of encouragement. I'm don't think I'm going to apply. I'm really just put off that before they ask about employment background etc the app asks for an essay about my relationship to god. It makes me uncomfortable. It's just not for me.
