DVC rooms are basically never ready early. We had it happen once and the front desk was like 'that's never happened this early before....' Last 4 trips we got the text between3:30-4:30

Hahaha good to know. I'm not sure what we'll do since we get in at noon and should hopefully be in our rental car by 1pm. The plan was lunch out (off site) then groceries but DD1 still naps... I guess fx for a car nap and one of us can stay in the car with her.

The resort will hold your groceries for you and put the cold stuff in a fridge too if you are worried about groceries.

My oldest ended up with a stroller nap on day 1 while DD2 slept in the tula. We basically just did laps with the stroller waiting for the room.

They text when your room is ready. Years ago (7/8) I used to have luck with the room being ready super early like before noon. This last time it was ready at 1245. We got in around 1030, got to the resort a little after 11. We had the bell hop hold our bags and they had our groceries because we did delivery. We got lunch and then were able to get into our room.

We were not in a DVC room.

My DVC room at the Poly was ready at 9:00am last trip. I wasn't looking at my phone so j didn't see the text until like 3:00 ( we were at Epcot)

One of my BFFs is using our DVC points this week, and she got a text at noon that her room was ready.

My past two trips I got texts from them that said "please come to the lobby when you arrive for room assignment." So no texts to report directly to the room. I don't know how I get so 'lucky' in the room lottery.

We rented DVC our last trip and the room was ready at 1pm.

Every time we've done DVC they've been ready early. Like, 10 am early. Three times now, so... it definitely varies. Maybe it depends on the property?

I think places with lots of different views take longer. Plus it all depends on if people are checking out early or if the rooms weren't full the night before. Somewhere like SSR or OKW have very few room categories. While BLT has 3 different views (plus the whole lock off vs dedicated for 2 bedrooms).

Is there a place to clean up while you are waiting on your room or do you just change in the lobby bathroom

We are planning DVc

Right now the plan is to land about 10:30 pack bathing suits in our bags ( can we swim if we don't have a room yet?) swim grab lunch and head out around 2:30 to go to a 4:00 hoop devdoo review

I would probably love a shower

I think there are locker rooms near the pool? I didn't use them last time though.

Yes the pool is available as soon as you check in.

We checked into Pop 2-3 weeks ago and got the text by like 7:30. We were still on the east coast.
