Be our Guest breakfast reservations...

If i make a breakfast reservation for 8:50 AM, when the park opens at 9.... does anybody know how early we would be able to get in?
like if we got there at like 8:20/8:30 would we be able to eat early?

Trying to make sure we can get a ride or 2 in right after we eat, before the rope drop crowds get there....

I made a 7:40 reservation on a day the park opened at 8am and got into the park by 7:10.

You should be able to get in early. Rope drop crowds will be in the park by 8:50-8:55 though. I assume you are talking about riding mine train! they don't usually open it until 8:45 and it's no guarantee they will start running it before the welcome show is over.

  yeah.... right now i have a crystal palace at 8:15, which i know is plenty early enough to get in early and beat the crowds a little bit. BUT with free dining that came out for the week we're going, we'll be on the dining plan now. and I need to cut out a table service LOL   i know BOG breakfast is a QS- so i was gonna switch to there. BUT the earliest they have that day is 8:50... 
   so i'm just wondering if a ressie that late kind of defeats the purpose of booking a breakfast in the park ( to be able to beat the crowds a little bit)  OR if we should be able to eat ahead of our reservation time...

If you do crystal palace, are seeing all the characters a must do? We do an 8am every trip there and have never got out by 9 because we want to see all the characters.

The hard part about crystal palace, is its near the front of the park so you have a decent walk to mine train so you have to make sure you are out before rope drop people are in or you get lost in the rope drop crowd.

You will be able to get in at 7:45 usually for an 8:15 ADR.

Keep checking for an earlier Be Our Guest. If you sign up for Touring Plans (I think it's around $10), they have a reservation finder that you can enter in the date and time you want and if something becomes available, they will text you. I was able to get all the ADRs I wanted, when I wanted them, by using it!

We did CP at 8:15am our last trip and while it was fine, I wouldn't do it again. We stayed at AKL, got up super early to go to the bus stop and even after confirming the night before the front desk/valet told us no bus was coming that early and that we needed to take a cab. About 25 other people were waiting on early MK breakfasts and all were told something different. They ended up calling a bus for us and we still made it before 8:15, but we were a little rushed. Then we had to wait at CP 20 min before we were seated. Then we waiting for a long time before the characters came. The breakfast wasn't anything special. We ate at Boma and it was much better. Because everything took so long we didn't beat the RD crowds and ended up leaving CP before seeing all the characters because we were done eating and missing valuable park time waiting around. Basically I wouldn't do CP pre park opening if you are thinking of beating the crowds.

I have 8am BOG booked for our next trip, but if they continue those the $69 EMH, I will probably cancel and just do rope drop.

Here's what happened for us- and it's one of those things that works for some and not for others. We got an 8:30 at Crystal Palace and showed up at 7:30ish at the gate. We checked in with the ADR person all the way to the left. They let all pre-opening ADR's in at the same time. 8 or 8:30 doesn't matter to them at the gate. Then we headed straight to Crystal Palace and checked in there. We were seated by 8:10 because we got our name on the list.
For BOG, I've heard it also speeds things up a lot when you pre-order.

Yay! So- I randomly checked this AM and got an 8AM be our guest reservation!! Park opens at 9. So we'll have plenty of time to eat and line up for mine train and Peter Pan :-)

I've heard that the opening show (where the characters come in on the train), happens at like 8:45....so i would think with a 9 AM reservation, you would probably be let in with the rest of the crowd right after the opening show.  not 100% sure though. Definitely keep checking- i randomly got an 8 AM yesterday!
