Sammie the Hammie seems to have some kind of lump growing on his side, by his face. At first I thought he had just stuffed his cheek with food but then I noticed that it's a constant lump. So unless he has food caught in there, it's a growth of some sort. I'm going to go to the pet store that I got him from and talk to the woman there and see what she thinks. I'm thinking I'll end up having to take him to the vet to get it checked out. Poor little guy. I really hope it's nothing, but how can it be. Here's a pic. Not too clear as he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to take a clear pic.
jigsy, I'm a fan of the space that apt. 2 would give you, but if apt. 1 is in a more convenient area and a friend is nearby that could be a bonus. One of my friends lived in the same apartment complex as me when we were both single and it was great. We'd sometimes eat dinner together if one of us cooked, she'd watch my cats etc.
sweetchix overall it was good! The presentation went over better than I expected. Hmmm hardest question was probably what my managers would say my weaknesses are. I hate that question.
How scary, Jojo! Keeping your sis and you in my thoughts. Hopefully it is a one time thing never to return so she can enjoy her new bundle! Hugs to you. I hate that helpless feeling from living so far away.
jigsy, I'd go with apt 1 while single. Shorter commute, walking to places are all huge benefits that save on money, time and stress.
There are amazing luxury air mattresses that blow up to a regular raised bed for guests. I had been using one for airbnb guests and charging a premium for the added bodies. I get raves on the mattress so you can still have people over comfortably. I've had mine (queen) in the living room for my sister and niece. Costed me just under $100.
Eta: And, it's a huge bonus to have a friend in the same building not just for caring for your little love but also if you're sick and too weak to get to pharmacy (been there)- things like that. You can help each other out. It's also cool that you can hang out together in your pjs at home or go for walks together on the spare of the moment to get out for a night/drink...whatever. That's huge too. jigsy

Thank you guys for all the nice thoughts. They ended up doing an MRI (My BIL is a radiologist and pushed for an MRI over a CT. I guess MRI is better? I don't know) and she has no brain damage or anything. She should fully recover. She still has some slight memory gaps, but the hospital said that is normal. If she has no more issues by noon today, she should be okay! Still, I am glad this was her last baby.
Years ago I was at a restaurant and had a seizure and there ended being no clear reason as to 'why'. I did the CT scan, MRI, EEG and EKG and everything was completely fine. I haven't had one since and the only thing I can think as to why I had one was that I was dieting pretty strictly and working out and just in general not taking care of my body. I'm not AT ALL saying your sister wasn't taking care of her body but I imagine (I wouldn't know because I passed out while holding my sister's leg when she was giving birth and had to go to the ER in the hospital - their rules when you pass out - so I missed the birth) that giving birth is a traumatic experience for your body.
I said all that to say, I had an unexplained seizure years ago and there have been no issues or incidents soon. I hope she is feeling better and congratulations on your new family member!
