I'm redoing DS's room. It is loosely a Lego theme. We are picking up his bed this weekend. I have some shadow boxes I'm going to make his name in Lego in and want to make a quilt and some throw pillows too.
I just made my first quilt, picture in the attachment.

I have to unpack my sewing stuff in my much larger sewing room. Moving sucks, but moving 29 weeks pregnant sucks worse. I got the kitchen unpacked, but when I tried to unpack this afternoon downstairs, I had BH contractions. I am concerned that the mover might have packed my cutting mat in a non flat box, so I was scoping out replacements if I can't get it flat again.
I need my hobby back, so MH is going to help this weekend get unpacked.

I'm still working on the dreaded afghan, but I'm getting there (slowly). Then, I'll be starting to lap sized afghans for my mother and MIL for Christmas presents.
The block afghan attachment is what mine will look like (with cream, light brown, raspberry pink, light and dark green colors), and the granny square afghan will be for my mom and MIL.

Here's what the mom and MIL afghan will look like (apparently you can only post one attachment per reply).
I'll be using cream, light brown, dark brown, and turquoise colors for my MIL's afghan, and cream, light brown, dark brown, and a green color for my mom's afghan.

I'm teaching myself how to knit so I'm working on a dishcloth. I also am working on a shawl (crochet) because I still can't figure out what to do with the straps on my crochet sweater project. It's a total mess. I'm hoping I can finally finish that project this weekend!

That quilt looks awesome! I love the colors!
Thanks! It was my brother's selection for a wedding gift. There was a kit on Pink Chalk Fabrics and it sold out so I worked it up myself. I'm glad in the end I didn't have the kit as I made some modifications and switched to light grey versus white.

I'm still working on the quilt along from last year. lol.. I've kind of told myself that I MUST work on my WIPs to get them off the table before I go buy more STUFF.
not crafty - I've got to re-landscape my front yard around our new driveway, so I'll be spending some quality time at the garden center this weekend. ;D
I started (then restarted...grrr) a shawlette using my charity yarn I bought last month.
I'm about halfway through a shawl collar sweater for DD, and I just finished the back of a moss stitch sweater for her.
And i have some simple Montessori type activities I'm gathering supplies to make, including some sorting bowls and balls, and some alphabet flash cards.

There is a montessori school near me. I really like most of the program. I tutored a girl that went there last year. I'm still trying to decide what I want to do for Mia's school in the fall. I'm torn between Montessori, private christian school, and homeschooling with a homeschool group.

I hated how little I could do by the end of my pregnancy. I felt like prisoner in my own body! LOL It actually made me dread labor a lot less.

I made a granny square afghan last year for my mom. I did a queen size in two shades of purple. It is a lot of work. But it is still one of my favorite winter crafts. keeps you warm while you work!

LOL! That is awesome! My H would love a lego room. He is saving all of his childhood legos in the garage. Till the girls are old enough to play with them.
My kids go and will go to a traditional Montessori- it's amazing! So worth it, IMO. My son has learned SO much and really loves it- my daughter (who will start next year- probably the winter) loves the school so much, too. We feel so lucky to have found them. Just make sure the school really is Montessori, and not just using the name.
My daughter is going through a skirt and dress phase, which is really fun- so, I've been making her bunches. I pulled out my Farbenmix/Studio Tantrum book and am working on a few of those patterns right now. DH is going OOT this weekend (yes- Mother's Day weekend- I will never let his boss live this down! to help man Lazerfest in Iowa (of all places), and these kids aren't nappers anymore- so, I don't expect to have much crafting time for a few days. Oh well.
Still knitting my mom's shawl. It's really turning out well, or seems to be at least. I might be able to finish it this weekend. It's this one: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/fanflower-fling
I'm working on a crocheted Hobbes doll for one of DH's coworkers. They are doing Calvin and Hobbes themed nursery.
I'd love to see a picture!
I'm working on end of year teacher gifts for the kids' teachers. I'm actually really looking forward to working on them this weekend. None of them are really original, but I'm sooooo glad to have Pinterest for new ideas.
Once school is out I need to work on getting my sewing caught up. My WIP pile is embarrassingly old.

My projects are on hold too because life has been crazy. Peyton's 1st birthday is in 4 months, so I have lots of craft projects on the plate and hopefully will start on those soon.
I am also hoping to start working again on her scrapbook. My goal tonight is to go to Hobby Lobby and find a shadowbox to put her baby dedication outfit and a few items in, hopefully that will happen.

We redesigned LA's playroom closet this past weekend (removed old shelf, patched holes, painted, hung new shelves). I NEED to get my act together and get some shelving for the room itself and then make curtains and some artwork. I REALLY like this alphabet set, but not sure I want to spend the $$. But I REALLY like it!!
The walls are a light apple green, trim and furniture is white and I am going with a red gingham/dot/cherry accents like these buttons
I really want to make her a few more outfits so that is in the works as well. But as usual, more abition than time!!

I'm knitting a blanket for my son for college (he's in 10th grade now). I am doing it in varying shades of blue and ivory with a little bit of red, and I'm cabling various strips, which I will sew together once I'm done with plain knitted strips separating the cable strips. I'm not describing it very well, but this is a pic of some of the strips. It looks much better with the separator strips, which I hadn't made yet when I took this photo.
Once I'm done with this one I'll start a similar one for son number 2, whose favorite color is green.

I'm knitting my first pair of socks. I never wear socks, so I've never gotten around to making them. Yesterday I was at the yarn store knitting away and realized I had made a small mistake a 8ish rows back on a lace shawl. I frogged back a row and a half before I said screw it, I'm buying yarn for the bedsocks that have been on my list of things to knit.
