I want to do something for DS's 3rd birthday which is the second week of September. I think he'd love it because he is obsessed with legos but the hotel prices seem a little high. We were thinking of staying at a Hyatt resort with points and going to Legoland for a day or two or we could split and stay at the Legoland hotel for 2 days and the resort for another 4 days. Is there enough for my 3 year old to do?
Google for coupons. My Lego store sometimes has coupons in their fliers as well. I would not pay full price for it.
I also don't think it's more than a 1 day park unless you're doing the water park too. Maybe a day each at the parks then.
Check the height on some of the rides to see if there would be enough for him to do. My 4yr loved the "roller coasters" that he was able to go on. Lines were minimal so you can blow thru things quickly. However, I wouldn't pay full price for it. Lego took over the old Cypress Springs park and it feels like they didn't do much refurb (or maintenance). Some of the facilities (not rides) seem run down. The mini=versions of Vegas, DC, etc. and the Star Wars areas are super faded. As a former Floridian, I understand how extreme the sun is down there. I would imagine there could have been a UV coating or something on this stuff though?
If they are going to charge Disney prices, I would expect more! (Hence why I only do half-price tickets!)
All that said, my 4yr enjoyed it a lot. Said he liked it more than Disney even! My 2yo wasn't as into it.

Can I tag onto this post? We're thinking of doing a long weekend there in February (so no water park), requiring us to fly down. Given the hassle/expense of flying, do you think we could make it two full days at the park? Or, should we just tag on like a day at Disney Springs (we'll have a rental car). We were thinking of flying down late on a Thursday, having all day Friday and Saturday, and flying back on Monday.

I think it depends on your kids, but mine has no problem spending 2 days at Legoland. He asked to go back for a second day when we went last year.

We literally rode all the rides & saw the ski water show from park opening to 2pm. We also walked thru the area w model versions of Star Wars stuff, etc. and did the area where you build cars & race them.
I mean, we could have done a second day but it would have been mostly re-riding stuff.
