Tv commercials that annoy you?

I rarely watch tv, and this morning we had on GMA. And gag, there was a commercial for Miralax. It showed how it works, and making the poop purple didn't fool me. No. I don't want to see that while I'm eating my oatmeal. So much WTF.

Oh, and I can't stand commercials for local businesses (usually car dealerships and furniture stores) featuring the kids or grandkids of the owners. They annoy me more than make me want to buy something.

I dislike all political commercials right now.

I also dislike ones on the effects of smoking, sad animals needing help, children in need from third world countries, etc.

I love this commercial! It totally cracked my shit up. I haven't seen it on tv, of course. But I'm actually thinking of getting the thing. Like Charmin says, "Enjoy the go!" <gag>

I hate commercials in general, but there was a Mazda Hiku commercial that I hate.



Oh and I HATE the State Farm "Never" commercial.  He spends the whole commercial saying he's never, getting married, moving, having kids, etc and then he DOES ALL THE THINGS.  At the end he's sitting on the couch and says "I'm never leaving."  Hey douche you are so now abandoning your family.  LOL

I honestly like dogs, but I really seem to have a thing against them being used in commercials.


Mattress Discounters using a dog to run all over their mattresses in their commercials.  Unpopular opinion to some....but I'm not a fan of dogs on beds and seeing some other dog running across mattresses in a showroom grosses me out.  It's a turnoff to me.






I also don't understand Bush's Beans using a talking dog, it's annoying and stupid.

Is this a Purina commercial or a bean commercial?

I don't see a lot of commercials, because we don't have cable/satellite TV. However, I watch a lot of baseball games on MLB.TV through the Roku, and they block out most commercials, but not all. Apparently, LG is a national MLB sponsor, and for a few weeks, EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK would have this commercial play. I seriously considered just not watching the games while that commercial was still in rotation. Looking at the MLB.TV support message boards, many people absolutely hated the commercial. I also posted on the message boards and on the LG Facebook page, and I like to think that I had a part in the commercial being pulled from game broadcasts. Here's your ear worm:




ETA: I also wanted to say that this commercial ensures that I will NEVER buy an LG phone!

We DVR most shows, so I don't see many commercials. I immediately turn the sad, animal commercials. I can't watch abandoned and uncared for dogs. It makes me sad the rest of the day.

I don't watch a lot of commercial tv, preferring the ABC & SBS channels so I don't get a whole lot of ads.  But I do hate the public television's practice of teasing upcoming shows/specials for months!  I've had Eurovision promos since the end of March.  I'm already tired of the Australian entry.

I have a ton of commercials that annoy the heck out of me, but one I absolutely love is the GEICO one (I even remember the commercial's point!) with Tarzan and Jane bickering over the directions to the waterfall. As they're swinging on a vine he lets out a Tarzan yell and she's all "OMG Did you have to do that in my ear?" I'm laughing just thinking about it.


One that annoys me was in the cycle for a while (sticking with OP's theme) is an at-home colon cancer screening test to the effect of "Get, Go, Gone" as in, "Get" the test, "Go" shit on the test, and then the test is "Gone" in the mail or something. I try not to pay attention.

Those commercials are flat out strange.  Carrey's spoofs, however, are perfection.  Thanks for the heads up, I'm still laughing.
