I bought a Michele watch 3 weeks ago at Nordstrom. On Wednesday I took it off to garden and when I went to put it back on the clasp was super tough and I had to clasp both ends at the same time or it wouldn't shut. I took it back to Nordstrom and the girl told me I could return it or fix it. I love it so I said fix it. BUT I will have to pay to have it fixed! It'll be 42.50 at least if not more. I paid over 900 for the watch and don't know if I should. I started reading online and some people say they're junk. 900 for junk?!? I told her I had to think about it. They don't have the watch I bought at any Nordstrom by me (or in their system)so a exchange is out unless I want a different color (I bought a gold watch). I'm on a gold kick so do I stick with gold or do I do silver? I can mix and match right? I have a platinum wedding ring but gold on my other rings and gold earrings and necklaces. Is there another brand of watch I should look at? Should I fix it? Return it? Help me!
I have multiple Michele watches and love them They keep the time well and I love that you can change out the bands. You won't be disappointed if you keep it. That said, this is on Nordstrom to fix it because they sold you a defective watch. They also need to fix it without the charge because it's the only one available. Which one is it? I like the deco watch that's gold and silver mixed but I'm not sure what that price is.
I would return it. Michele watches are made by Fossil. So they are basically Fossil watches at 10x the cost.
Agreed. Then I'd go to a jewelry store and buy a better watch for the same amount or a few extra bucks.
This. I've learned that I am hard on my watches and I'd hate to spend that much money on a watch that I will beat the crap out of. So I'm happy with my Fossil/MK/Kate Spade that is a lot cheaper and that I won't be sad when I inevitably break it. And the shop that does the warranty work for Fossil/MK/Michele is shady as hell.
