A friend is throwing us a small/casual baby shower/goodbye party tomorrow. It's a second kid and we don't need a ton of stuff (especially since we're moving!), but she asked me to make a small, super practical registry, which I did. I wasn't thinking about it when I made it and I set the address of the registry to my own address and not her address, where the party will be. Some gifts just arrived at my house (I didn't open them, but they must be for that, since I didn't order anything). Am I supposed to bring them to the party tomorrow? As a grown up, I feel like should know this already, but I don't
You did what you're supposed to do. That would've been weird to have them sent to her house. I wouldn't bring them. I'm assuming people sent them to your house because they won't be attending.
I would not bring them. The giver knows they are for you and if they wanted to see you open them, they wouldn't have sent them to you directly. Especially if this is a small and casual thing, I'd leave them at home.
