I am so jealous of your kids. My kid can't hang past like 8pm tops. He loses his shit. I only see fireworks if I go by myself and someone else watches him in the room.

Same here. DD falls apart if she doesn't get 10.5-11 hours of sleep. And she's almost 6!! She can do one late nightt but then we pay for it. She also won't nap ever under any circumstance.
this is why I have tried very hard on vacations to perfect the art of putting all children asleep in the stroller. I would die if I was at disney for a week and missed all the night stuff. Sometimes they stay up, sometimes they don't. I have no shame in putting them in their PJs and walking over to epcot, watch illuminations & have a drink while they're passed out in the stroller.
There's no way they'd be able to stay up past 9 more than once or twice a trip.

More pictures please!
And related to the late nights, part of the reason DH says we need to not have a 3rd kid is because our 2 are so flexible especially on vacation. They last until midnight whenever we go to the Christmas or Halloween parties! Plus we do late night stuff other nights during our trips too. They did pass out once in the stroller after the fireworks and MSEP and just stayed sleeping for the next 3 hours so DH and I could walk around MK.
Met Daisy Spaceship Earth Living with the Land Got a cookie at Sunshine Seasons Figment Butterfly House Currently at a playground
It's 10:45. Used no FP. Nursing now.
Are you at a playground at Epcot? Where is that?
ETA: Asking because a few times at Disney and wanted a place where the kids can run free and not get into trouble or have to wait in line, and the adults can sit and be lazy for a minute. Not b/c I'm currently there looking for you to skinsuit you.
I really don't know why they can't keep those playgrounds up year round, or put them back up for F&W. Kids love them.
This. Or make Horizons a giant themed playground ( inside / out would be cool with the memory balls & they could have interactive stuff about emotions. In AC. With a bar.

I think they purposely try to make F&W a more adult event and not having the playgrounds is on purpose. At least it feels that way to me.
Yea, I see what you're saying but the fact is lots of people are still going to have their kids regardless - so it would be much better if they play at a pop up playground while I eat & drink. Also, I have the kids that loved F&W - getting the passport stamps & trying food. So they can think it's a adult event, but it's certainly fun for some kids, too.
I decided to let these jokers sleep in so we'll miss rope drop. They have to get up by 7:30 though! Lol
I love that you are just like me at Disney. I'm always up and ready and when they nap too long I sit and basically stare at them. When I let them sleep in, it's still not too late.
Waiting in the CRT check in line while DD1 thoroughly inspects her autograph book.
We rode Dumbo (10 minute wait). Sadly the play area opened just as we were entering the outdoor line. Peter Pan (FP+) I always am underwhelmed 7DMT (DD1 2x with child swap)
DD2 and my husband went back.
We rode Under the Sea (7 minute wait, mainly just walking the winding path)
Now lunch!
Productive morning I think. Got through the gates late (9:15) and DD1 went on 9 rides by 11:30.Pet
Peter Pan is one of my happy places because my Mom just loves it. So it always reminds me of her.

I actually think playgrounds would be great. One of my kids (now an adult) would have waited in lines much better if she had been able to get some of that energy out at a playground.
We go in July and while I'm dreading the heat I'm looking forward to a more relaxed vacation. In December we got SO much done and were going nonstop. We don't have that same mindset this time. We plan on going early, using our FP's, and swimming in the afternoon. Dinner near/at Epcot most nights since we will be at the Beach Club. I know from 12-5 I can't be in the parks without wanting to die so I'm looking forward to a slower pace!
DD hates roller coasters so that makes touring easier, too.
Thanks for doing a live report, glad you had a great trip! We just took DS2 at age 22mos and it was pretty hard :/ - here's hoping your 18 month old is more laid back!
