I posted yesterday that I kept feeling my heart pounding/racing. I went into work this morning and it started again. Walked to the health unit to have my blood pressure checked- that was fine, but my heart rate was 125. Called my dr's office, and they told me to head to the hospital, where my heart rate was up to 150. The baby's heart rate was fine, and she was moving around. Mine eventually got down to normal, with no explanation of why it was elevated.
I have to follow up with a cardiologist on Monday. It's still feeling a little racy off and on. But I'm reassured that the baby has been moving normally all day.

I kept have ventricle fibrillations during my pregnancy with L. I went to a cardiologist out of an abundance of caution, wore a heart monitor for a few days, and was eventually just told basically "pregnancy effs with your body, but you're fine!"

This is what I'm expecting to hear. Why is pregnancy so weird?!?
This happened to me at the grocery store today! Heart randomly started racing. I am 18 weeks
Did it last long? I did read that it can be more common in the second trimester. I'm 35 weeks. Apparently, your body has to adjust to having about 45% more blood.
I'm not normally one to rush to the doctor, but I'm being a little more cautious with the pregnancy.

I think I got slightly overheated plus caffeine in my system. Sat down for 15 min and it went away

Just to mess with your head a bit more.
And I was more cautious medically when I was pregnant too. When I worry only about my own health, I'm a bit more carefree "eh, I'll be fine!" but I felt some sort of responsibility to the kid to make sure I was actually going to be fine. It's what made me go to the hospital while having a reaction to peanut when I was 8 months pregnant with A.

This happens to me during pregnancy. It's happened a few times during this pregnancy but more with my first. I talked to my doctor and he said the body is pumping so much more blood that the heart has to work harder to keep up. He said it's very common.

This is exactly what happened to me. I thought I could feel flutters and my heart racing so I started wearing my watch with a heart rate monitor just to see, and sure enough it was getting to 145+ just randomly while I was sitting on the couch. My OB had me go get an ultrasound of my heart (forget what it's called) and had me wear a monitor. They basically said it was just excess blood from the pregnancy fucking up my shit. It went away when he was born and came back when I got pregnant with my daughter. Weeeeee.
It's definitely scary though, it feels like you just got done running a marathon when you're just relaxing. I'm sorry you have to go through that : (

When I was pregnant my resting heart rate was like 105. Apparently you heart beats more bc it's pumping more blood and you're making a human. Not trying tone snarky, that was the general consensus.
Typically by the time I see pregnant people, they are usually tachycardic. Huffing and puffing their way into L&D. I don't want to say it's normal, because any time you are concerned you should get it checked out. But spells of tachycardia during pregnancy are pretty common, and in my experience will likely increase especially if you are in your third trimester in the summer. Ugh. Just try to take it easy when you feel it, sit or lay down if you can.
If there are any unknown heart issues, they usually will present themselves during pregnancy. Which is why if you are concerned, don't feel bad about getting checked out. I just don't want you to stress because the majority of the time it's just another lovely side effect of being pregnant.

I'm glad the baby is okay, and you too. My grandfather had undiagnosed arrhythmias his whole life...and guess who inherited that little gem! My heart tends to speed up when I'm lying down on my back or when I'm tired or stressed. It also ties in with my vasovagal reactions. Just keep an eye on it.
