Slow start to my morning here, but things are getting better. My pole shoes arrived yesterday and I am BEYOND excited. They are less fun on carpet, but I cannot wait to take them to the studio!
It's been a really long week. I had a stomach virus, so I wasn't able to have solid foods Monday - Wednesday. Yesterday, I didn't really have an appetite. Having issues with H.
I get to clean gutters today during nap and possibly start on the outside of our sun room depending on how long the gutters take. So much excitement! lol At least its not yard work. I got the last of stuff planted yesterday and a little extra clean up in the front yard so I'm happy with my week off productivity

minion, that sounds like no fun. I hope you are feeling better. And I'm sorry about your issues with your h. I hope it's something you can work through quickly/easily.
I'm not sure what I should be doing at work. I scatterd a bunch of stuff on my desk to make it look like I'm working. Isn't that awful? I've drafted a bunch of documents, but they aren't being reviewed and I can't get them finalized, so I'm just kind of waiting...which is dumb, but the people who need to review them are a) use to working without the procedures in place, and b) are busy.
I spent a good portion of time at my old company yesterday doing some really fun, collaborative work and it felt awesome. The manager again said that in June she is really going to push for me to come back. That is when they are supposedly going to be over their financial slump. That would be awesome, but I'm not getting my hopes up. I'm trying to "bloom where I'm planted" as a friend recently reminded me. But it's hard - especially while I'm doing *fun* work on the side. Thankful for a job and the flexibility. I don't want to sound ungrateful for my opportunity.
Going to a Mother's Day thing with my mom tomorrow. Nice to have it NOT on Mother's Day weekend.
Still wish James would give me the thumbs up on getting a new car. Has anyone driven or ridden in the Chevy Trax? Good gas mileage and reasonably low price.
Learned a lot in class last night, I'm glad I decided to take the InDesign class after all as i'm learning a lot more elegant ways of achieving certain things that I had just made up workarounds for years ago. (Partially I bet due to the older program versions not having some of those options yet.) I'm stuck on my brochure class homework.
Counseling tonight and I'm just feeling meh about it. But tomorrow my cousin and the babies arrive in Seattle!! MISSED THEIR FACES SOOO MUCH.
Unexpectedly home today, we got a call last night that my husband's uncle died. We are all shocked, we had just talked to him last weekend. I am not sure what needs to be done, he lived in Germany and my husband and his sister are next of kin. Hopefully we can get an idea soon.
He wants to take a long walk this afternoon and I went to the gym, exercise can fix a lot of things. I hate seeing him sad ?.
J is napping and I'm sitting on my back porch drinking an iced tea and enjoying this perfect weather. I'm going to put a few plants in some baskets and throw some seeds in the ground. See what happens. There will not be much gardening happening this summer I can tell you that!
Thanks dana86 I feel so awful for him. This was his godfather and such a huge part of his life and his last "tie" to Germany. I don't know who will clean out the house, settle his estate, and get his burial plans in order.
I'm guessing most of the house can wait a little bit, hopefully a friend can get food, and take care of the yard.
