Saturday randoms

I've got a bunch today...

DD1 made her 1st communion this morning.

After the ceremony, XH, XMIL/FIL, DDs, and I went to eat. I used points to get my meal and DD1's meal taken off. ILs get money together and give it to XH, which he declined. Then, XH asks me if I want to split the rest. Right in front of his parents. Excuse me? Why am I paying for your parents' meals? Your dad doesn't even like me. Why am I being forced to pay for his meal, especially when he clearly offered to pay for it himself??? I know I could have said no, but I felt put on the spot in front of his mom (his dad had left by that point). I'm debating texting him and bringing this up.

Now, I'm at the car wash getting my car vacuumed. I would have done it myself but it's super windy and cold out. Next up is Walmart to get a few household things and then home to clean the house.

I made a morning run to Target before work. I bought the Sonia Kashuk Velvety Matte Lip Crayon in Poppy Nude since I thought it would go great with my outfit. It does, thankfully! And I love the color. LOVE. I also bought a cardigan to since I didn't have one to match the dress I'm wearing today.

After work I'm heading to a wedding. It's kind of cool outside, much cooler than I expected and I'm worried I'm not dressed warm enough for an outdoor wedding/reception, even with the cardigan. At this point, there is nothing I can do about it!

Today I was also mansplained to about both history and religion! Ugh.

Oh man, him asking if you wanted to split the amount would make me rage!!

I took DS (almost 5) to a counselor today to get some help dealing with his anger since STBXH left 1.5 months ago. It went really well, and I'm feeling encouraged. The counselor thinks DS has some sensory issues so she plans to help us with that. She's going to teach me PICT to help with his behavior. She thinks he'll do really well with it. She was totally non-judgmental and it was a great experience. She said she could tell DS and I have a great bond and I'm his "safe" person, which is great because DS continues to tell everyone he'd rather be with his daddy.

My individual therapy session got canceled, which is kind of discouraging. I rescheduled it for 2 weeks out. I'm looking forward to seeing someone - I think it will help a lot. I've never been to a therapist before and I'm kind of excited I get to talk to someone about myself for an hour and they are paid to listen. Usually I am very conscious to not talk about myself very much.

I'm still in my pajamas and it's almost 5 PM. I found out that Saturday nights are the best night to go grocery shopping. No one is there. Then I realized I'm an 80 year old woman stuck in a 29 year old's body.

Going grocery shopping on Saturday nights is a legit pleasure for me. No one is there. Everything is stocked. They play music from the late 90s/early 00s. Heaven!

I joined like 3 or 4 days ago! I'm kinda already done with it. Haha. I do like it better than OKC though.

The bill, after tip, was $90. He's like "you just want to split it" to which I should have said no. But I didn't. Then he's like I'll put in $40, because of my parents. And I'm like what? So then he put in $50 so I was left paying $40, yeah, because that extra $5 he paid covered both his parent's meals and drinks. $5 didn't even cover one of their drinks (they had maragaritas).

So that was $90 AFTER you used points to cover part of it? Hell no, that was a dick move on his part. When he told his parents not to chip in, he should have paid the whole damn thing.

CMB was a total DUD for me ... you would think being in the middle of the tech world there would be 1- plenty of users 2- some quality matches ... no and no. I had better luck on OKC and Tinder

Yep. My points took 2 meals, about $31 off. I actually thought we'd be doing separate tabs and only expected to pay for the appetizer I ordered for DD1 and my pop, so about $15, including tip.

ETA: so I texted him. I just said "I would have asked yesterday but I felt put on the spot. Why did we split the Fridays bill yesterday?" I'm sure he's going to respond in some way to make me feel guilty, like it was our DD's communion... A special day... Bsbsbs...

I have tried okc and tinder, but it's all fuckboys lately. Plus with xh being newly single, I don't want to deal with that awkwardness.

You had paid for you and your DD, there was nothing else for you to cover.
