Boston question

My brother's fiance (yay!) just moved up to Mass to do grad school at Harvard. She's from GA and went to college in DC, so really knows nothing about the Boston area. Any suggestions for good places to eat, must see Boston sites, places to buy groceries (keeping in mind she's a poor grad student), etc.? She is technically Somerville, but pretty much on the city limit with Cambridge. She'll take any recommendations. Thanks!!

Depends where she is for restaurant pics but in Davis Sq ( I would bet she is either their or Inman Sq) the best coffee is Diesel Cafe. Totally the best latte's around and gay owned to boot. Yummy food as well. Best ice cream is JP licks.There are too many amazing places to eat to list. There is amazing food. Blue shirt cafe is really yummy. There is an amazing vegan place in Watertown (on the other side of cambridge Red Lentil that is super yummy. What is she going to Harvard for? I got my M. Ed there and loved it.
