Dining Reservations

So 2 of my reservations got messed up... What are the chances of times becoming available.
Chef mickeys between 7-8am and crystal palace 8-9am.

You just started booking today? I would say keep checking. There is a good chance a time will open up.

Definitely keep checking. Things open up a ton once FP+ comes available and people restructure their days.

Have you been able to book today? After and hour and half on hold, DH was told their entire reservation system was down.

It's pretty tough and go - I've gotten it to work some and did some on the phone but it's basically crashed

Have you tried to book any FP at 7 am yet? Just curious to know how that change was going.

No I haven't - it can't be good for the system to overload it even more though

If you are a member of TouringPlans.com they have a reservation finder where you plug in what you are looking for and if and when it becomes available they will text you. Then you have to rush online to get it.

If you don't get it, keep checking obviously but check diligently 30 days before your trip, that's when final payments are due and lots of people will cancel

This. I was able to get everything I wanted, when I wanted it. I missed out a few times but everything was set a week before we left.

Disboards has a thread about reservation cancellations (and subsequent availability) on the Disney Restaurants board. I've never used it, but it might be a helpful resource.

Even booking dining at DLR is jacked up. I got booted out of the system in the middle of booking my reservation and it took over an hour of reloading and trying just to get back into the system.

Agree, we booked our trip less than 3 months out and were able find everything we wanted with this. And the touring plan creator was great. Worth the small fee!
