I'm taking an online class for my new job and they allowed me to do it from home today. In my field, working from home is pretty non existent so this is good. I wish it wasn't gloomy out today so I could sit by the pool and work on my stuff. I need more clothes and shoes for work, getting dressed in real clothes every day is still a slight challenge for me. I guess as time goes on an my wardrobe grows, it will be easier. What's everyone up to lately?
I got divorced this morning! It was a pretty smooth process. They checked our paperwork, put us on the docket, the judge asked us a few quick questions, and BOOM - DIVORCED! In my state there's a 120 day waiting period for it to be finalized, but I still feel so relieved. There's nothing for us to do but wait for the paper to arrive in the mail!!
I can't believe it's only Thursday. But BF comes home tonight after being gone for 2 weeks so that's exciting I know the dogs will be just as glad to see him as I will.
brooke77 congrats! cuddlyevil hope she is okay! TR I saw your post yesterday about your mom and didn't get a chance to respond, but F that! I don't care if I already did everything once I want to be able to do it all again exactly the way I want to and so should everyone else.
I leave Saturday night to go stay with my bestie in Nebraska for 8 days. I hired a photographer for an hour to get pictures of her and I and her whole family, as her bday present, so that should be fun. Other than that we only have tattoos and a zoo day planned. Her son is 3 and asks to call me and Snapchats me regularly, so I am excited to start really building my relationship with him. He calls me aunty bubble because my name is hard to pronounce and starts with a B, so cute!
I'm going on an impromptu vacation next week (to see someone LD) and my roommate can't watch the dogs. I guess I can board. Gah. and it's over a holiday weekend so my first choice boarder is full. ::cries:: Who lives in socal and wants to watch two assholes?
Suppose to close on the house at 8:30AM in the morning!!! the house has been vacant since early Feb when we thought it was sold and the buyers backed out at the last second. I am so happy that I can finally cut those ties with the XH. I will finally get child support after 6 months of waiting.....

I can't lie I'm a little envious. I want to get to that point and start that new chapter. This week was rough. STBXH got his separation date for the military and its sooner than anticipated so he asked if he could pay rent and stay with me til my new roommate moves here from her current duty station in September. I stupidly agreed because I'm a softie and I sucker. I am not looking forward to the next few months. I think I'll move the tv in to my room so I don't even have to talk to him while he's there...or just not be at the house ever.
My sister, brother, and his gf fly in tonight for surprise #1 for my mom. I just found out this morning that I'm picking them up from the airport. Last I had heard my Stepdad planned to pick them up. Good thing I texted them this morning wishing them good flights because my sister replied back "aren't you picking us up?"
I have to go home and finish cleaning (tonight's cleaning will include shoving things in to my closet because I don't have time to go through it all before 10pm tonight.

You'll get there. We lived together for a LONG time after we knew it was over. 6 months? He wanted to move in with a friend and the friend was buying a house and it kept on getting delayed. He makes a lot of money and has no bills (company car, company cell phone) so it made no sense to me why he would want to move in with a friend instead of his own apartment. It was horrible living together. I dreaded going home. I avoided the house at all costs and when I was home, I camped out in my bedroom. And when he finally moved out, it took about a year to get to the point where we agreed on the terms of the divorce.
It can be a slow process, but for us it was good to take our time. Honestly, we divorced amicably and saved ourselves a lot of money and heartache. When we first split it looked like it was going the other way and we would have ended up with a ton of legal fees and as enemies.

Thats outside of my petsitters area. If you were closer I was going to give you her details
Whomp whomp. I have a few people via work and a friend that I'm sussing out. My roommate won't watch them (for money) because she's too busy with school and she doesn't want someone to stay in our apt. So I'm scrambling for pet care. I've even contemplated buying them a plane ticket to accompany me.

I'm really sick. It hit me like a freight train this afternoon. I took DS for Mexican yesterday and we were sharing all our food, which we very rarely do. Ugh. His preschool graduation is Monday and he's been counting down the days for a month. He practices his song every day and tells me how excited he is to eat cake and drink punch with me.
If he gets sick and misses graduation, he's going to be devastated! I also have an appointment with my lawyer this weekend that I dont want to postpone because I want to get the divorce stuff moving already.
I have all my digits crossed that this passes quickly and spares DS!
