At my newish job, I sit very close to a girl that slurps her soup every single day. Like LOUD slurping. Like I am wearing headphones right now, listening to Pandora, and I can still hear it. She also has something in her lunch (it's like the same thing every day - some kind of soup) like cabbage or something. And she chomps it with her mouth open. Every day. It's kind of like if you were try to eat slimy rubber with your mouth open.
ANYWAY, it's driving me crazy. Every day it drives me crazy.
I will say that I believe myself to be overly sensitive to this kind of stuff.

I'm similar, but I (thankfully) don't have to deal with any weird eating sounds. But I am seated by someone who loudly clears their throat once every few minutes (on average, yes I have timed it). H and MIL (who is visiting in a couple of weeks) are also constant LOUD throat clear-ers. It drives me crazy, and I wish I could make people be more dainty with their phlegm issues.

My mom does the throat clearing thing, too. I honestly think it's a habit and unnecessary and that makes me extra irritated by it.
I'm not too bothered by it or at least I don't notice I am. Unless i'm just in a "mood" and all the sounds are annoying then it would bother me to the point of probably clearing my throat or doing something to get their attention to stop.
The only mouth sounds that seem to drive me nuts are the dogs constantly licking. Drives me nuts!!
Mostly it's when i'm in my current mood: pms makes me much more sensitive to noise stimuli than usual and everything is like a cannon to my brain in terms of noise volume.
But slurping that can be heard through headphones/music? gross!!
