Tuesday Randoms

I feel proud of myself for accomplishing two very tiny but lingering tasks this morning. I guess it doesn't take to much to stroke my ego!

I had ice cream for breakfast. It felt right. And it tasted right.

How come it's only Tuesday?

I had my usual breakfast but it's 1030 and I'm already hungry!

I need more breakfast too. And I'm conflicted about it being Tuesday. On the one hand I have a ton more writing to do, but I'm also so done that I want it to be Thursday night. I'm writing at a new coffee shop today and it's freezing. At least it's keeping me awake.

Today would have been my 7th wedding anniversary. I was only married for 3.5 years. Good riddance!

Every time I have a pap done, it comes back abnormal but unchanged from the last "abnormal" and I always have a yeast infection. Except I have zero symptoms of a yeast infection. EVERY TIME. I don't understand it. Get it together cervix! I end up getting four paps a year at 200 a pop between copay, lab work, and for the antibiotics for this mysterious yeast infection. I'm frustrated.

Man I am thinking about taking off Thursday and Friday to sit in the apartment pool. I found out it passed inspection today, but they might wait until Friday to officially "open" it. Noooo. Why??

doglove, get out of my head. I am thinking about using a sick day on Thursday to do nothing but Netflix, read, and hang out by the pool! Hopefully they open yours in time. You should ask the apt. office...maybe they'll open it on Thursday if they know a resident wants to use it!

Oh don't worry - I plan to. I'm good friends with the managers so I'm going to chat with them about it this evening. They hate the pool though and the maintenance of it, for whatever reason I think they're trying to prolong the opening as long as possible. Technically it did pass inspection, so I don't see the problem with going to sit in it on Thursday if it's not "officially" opened. haha

Today is my Monday and tomorrow is my Friday. My dad and I are leaving for Charlotte after I get DDs off to school Thursday morning. We don't come home until Tuesday so I'm off of work until next week Wednesday. Then, I come in late on Friday, the 3rd. Then, I just found out that DD2's 1st grade concert is on Friday, June 10th and we can sign our kids out afterwards so I may ask for that day off too. It seems like late May/early June has been packed full of events that need some time off. I just hope this is the end for a while so I can save some for random days over the summer or next school year.

DD2's teacher said she qualifies for summer school for EAL. The problem is, it's M-F for 2 hours each morning. I don't have any way to get her there and back because of the timing. So, we may need to skip it. If we do, I'll probably ask my cousin if she can up the tutor days to 2, maybe 3 times/week. She's coming over once a week right now. I just don't want DD2 to fall behind and if she's qualified for summer school, and we can't make it happen, I want to provide her with whatever we can to help her. These are the times when being divorced and working a FT 9-5 type job suck.

Last week DH and I spent the week at Disneyland with my family for our annual trip. The day after I got there, my eyes were really irritated. I just thought it was seasonal allergies, because I do suffer from them in the spring. When the Zyrtec didn't fix anything, I thought maybe my red, irritated eyes were from a new eyeliner, so the next day I didn't use it. No change, so I thought maybe I needed to be better about washing my makeup off before bed, because I'm not very good about doing that. Still not better, so when we got home, I washed my eyes with some no-more-tears baby shampoo, which worked when I did it when my kids got pinkeye.
So, here I am, a week into what I suspect is just run-of-the-mill pinkeye. I decided to go to an urgent care to get it checked out, because I obviously can't get rid if it on my own. I'm out of town again, so I went onto my insurance's website to find one. I get there and check in, the go to drive through somewhere for lunch. When I get up to the window, I realize that I have no money because I forgot to get the debit card from DH. I cancel my order, then go back to the urgent care to cancel my place in line there.
I guess I'll go back tomorrow, but then I have to go to Sephora to replace the makeup I have to throw away, and get some of the stuff they use to disinfect the makeup testers to treat the makeup I don't have to throw away.
