First day of School!!!

What is going on today for everyone?

I had an 8 am class that took ten minutes to introduce, then she excused us. Kind of lame. I want to start learning. So, I am kind of just twiddling my thumbs waiting for my awesome class at 1:30.

I kind of want to go back home and take a nap, but I don't want to waste the gas.

Happy first day of school! First day has always been my favorite!

I'm working today. I should have walked my 2 miles this morning but I'm beat from planning a party for my Dad and hosting that yesterday( I did all the cooking myself) and taking dinner to a friend who just had a baby and baking cupcakes for my boss for her birthday today. I have to take S bug to the vet for his follow up tonight so I'm hoping that Dr. T sees good things and just says to keep up the Benadryl and medicated shampoo.
Otherwise I'm trying to make sure I have everything ready for my brother's wedding. I really wish I had taken the whole week off!!!!

L started 3rd grade today! New school, new clothes, new glasses, haircut and she feels like she has a brand new identity. I'm curious to see how the school year plays out as she has been placed into an "advanced" class and I'm not yet sure what in all that entails. The first PTA meeting will be next Monday and I'll be able to meet her new teacher then. They had an open house for the kids last Friday but we were still out of town on vacation then so we missed it.

EJ has started to sit up on his own (at 5 mos.!) and showing such solid signs of interest in food that I couldn't ignore the writing on the wall anymore and capitulated and we introduced solids to him on Saturday. Carrots for the win!

So now I'm kind of moping at work - my babies are growing up WAY too fast.
