This is really interesting to me because I am good at drawing eyeliner, but couldn't figure out why the winged look was so difficult (even though I drew it perfectly, when I opened my eyes it looked odd). My eyes have a similar shape so (even though hers is WAY dramatic) I'm thinking of trying this 'optical illusion' next time I do it and see what happens.
I might try this though because I think this might work on my eye shape too.
lol I know, I actually don't hate it either, but I do see what she's saying - mine does sort of distort though when I open my eyes so I'm curious what would happen if I try this method. Save
I don't *hate* it either, but I see what she means. it is a very... pronounced swoop, rather than the gentle curve that one normally expects. I may try this as well because I usually have trouble with my wings. I hate a really thick wing though...

agree, I don't want mine to turn out as thick, but not sure if it's one or the other? Save

I think it looks really pretty on her but I just can't figure out how to get it to work on my heavily hooded eyes. She doesn't have hooded eyes and I need to be able to see it to learn the technique, but again I'm so bad at eyeliner it still probably wont work. I need like an "explain like I'm 5" walk through with someone with hooded eyes. I've been looking to Jennifer Lawrence for makeup ideas because our eyes are similar.

I have heavily hooded eyes (with a sagging lid, yay) and I've just determined that I can't do a winged eyeliner. It doesn't look good and I've tried for a year to figure it out and work on it. I find that most people who post about 'how to do liner for hooded eyes' aren't talking about those of us who have heavy hoods/sagging (where the hood goes down past the corner of the eye). If you don't have sagging at the end, do a google search for heavily hooded eyes and liner, and you'll find a few about fully hooded eyes.
