Swan or Dolphin?

We are staying on points, so these are the only two choices. Anyone stayed at either one? Besides bed size is there any real difference, pluses to staying at one over the other? The Swan cost a bit more points wise, so we could stay 7 nights at the dolphin for the same price as 6 at the Swan.

This is our 4th Disney trip in 3 years, so really we just need a place to sleep and a pool, kids have been there done that with Disney resort theming.

The Dolphin has more of the restaurants. It doesn't really matter but given what you've written I'd stay there.

We prefer the Swan. Smaller and a little more intimate. It truly doesn't matter though. They share amenities.

We stayed at the swan because of bed size & we could use 11,500 points to get an alcove room - HUGE with tons of Windows & balcony. King bed & sofa bed. Perfect for us, 2 kids & infant.

That said, that was when both hotels were 10k points a night. Now that the swan is higher, I don't think it's worth it. Pool is slightly closer to the dolphin side. Walk to Epcot is slightly shorter since you can use a side door.

We were happy with it and it was a decent use of points with staying for the 5th free night. But it doesn't have the same Disney feel. I wasn't impressed with the pool at all. It felt a little run down and they were blasting awful music.

I disagree about the pool- we last went about a year ago and really enjoyed it! We had chairs under the waterfall.

Compared to Kidani & the beach club (which were bookended on our Swan stay) it couldn't compare to me. The baby pool sucked.

Thanks everyone, it's for November, so pools could be hit or miss anyway. I think we will go with the dolphin since it is less points, I'm just worried about the renovations that are going on there, I think the swan is finished right?

I agree the baby pool sucks. We were there for a conference without kids. The feature pool worked for me, and my son would have loved the waterslide.
