Friday night we went out to the Rock for dinner to celebrate selling our house. Saturday we went to Bremerton to pick up parts for one of H's projects. Sunday we went the entire day at lincoln park. Then I did cleaned our dining room. I'm making a point to clean one to two rooms a day this week. In preparation for our party this coming Saturday with 50ish of H's family members. Joint Bday for H and his brother, his brother's grad party, and my MIL is insisting its also our house warming party. I am not calling it a house warming party, because if we actually threw a house warming party, I'd like to maybe invite someone from my side of the family.
Just work today. Kinda swamped. It's ok. Hopefully today will go fast.
My in laws left last night. Whaaaaaa! They are so helpful and I love them. They put an offer on a house in Poulsbo though! They may rent it out for a while if they get the house. Depends on how long it takes to sell their house in Maryland. It's perfect for them. Cute neighborhood. Small home on one floor and it's already retrofitted for wheelchair access which is great since my FIL recently lost his leg. It is beautiful established gardens that are low maintenance too. I hope they get it. The seller is reviewing offers on Wednesday.
I have a major deadline on Wednesday so I'm just hoping J will cooperate so I can work. She's become accustomed to being held all the time with my in laws being here.

minion that really sucks about this party. 50 is a lot of people, especially for them to not be any family from your side. You already have a huge turnout planned, but is there any way to at least include a few of your peeps?
I had a good weekend. Went shopping and spent a majority of the day with DD on Saturday. Then, we had a block party and met some really awesome people. Sunday I was hungover from too much vodka, so I lazed around most of the day.

Got home from work on Friday, loaded up the car, and then headed up to my parent's house for the weekend. It took three hours. It was pretty much torture.
It wzs nice to see my sis and nephew. My mom, sis, and I got pedicures on Saturday. It was nice, but you guys, my feet are so ticklish I was literally crying. The pumice stone was a nightmare. But, it was nice. Had a pretty good rest of Saturday and then Sunday was just too hot and I just wanted to get home. Thankfully, traffic was light on the way home and it took less than an hour and a half.
Tman has a piano recital tonight and James got a weird shift that starts at 1:30. He's trying to work out a way that he can make it to the recital, so fingers crossed for that. Tman will be super disappointed if he can't make it.
The rest of the week should be low key except for Friday when mny bro gets into town with his 3 kids and my sis will still be here with my nephew and all them and my mom and step-dad will be at our little condo for all of Friday afternoon/evening. It will be crowded and stressful, but at least I will be home. THAT IS, after Tman's 5th grade graduation at school. This is his last week of school. I'm proud of him, but can't believe that he's finishing elementary school. He's growing up way too fast.

minion - planning for that party sounds stressful! Hopefully once it gets going it will be a blast.
@lauralynne - I don't know how you do that on no sleep!
This spring has been busy with work and multiple kids sports so I've been sort of MIA around here (but all the sports ended this weekend!). This weekend was a blast but HOT! Saturday I ran the Rainier to Ruston relay with 7 friends. We had two teams of 4 runners so we could run in pairs, but we all rode in one vehicle together. A total of 13ish miles broken up into 3 legs. It was a hot and exhausting but fun run. Left home at 5am and got home at 8pm. I feel really lucky to have a great group of girlfriends who all like to run, drink, and eat
Yesterday was the final day of soccer and lacrosse. E and P each had a soccer game in Seattle, and E had 3 25-minute lacrosse games at a big jamboree in Redmond (where it was 95 on the field!). So full day of sports.
Working from home today. We usually have a team meeting in the office on Mondays but my boss said we should do it at his house at 2pm with drinks after. Then this evening is P's end of the year class picnic at Golden Gardens.
I also think tonight H and I are going to have to have a discussion about Hoss. He seems to be losing his sight and hearing, and he can't get up on his own. We have to help him stand up, and then he can only walk about 8-10 steps before he has to lie down again. H carries him up and down the stairs every night and morning, and if we don't get him outside early enough he goes to the bathroom right where he is lying. H is going camping with DD this weekend (dad/daughter camping trip with her soccer team) so we'll see how I'm able to deal with it alone. I can carry him up the stairs, but it scares me to try and carry him down the stairs (he's 75lbs). Later this month H will be gone for a week long fishing trip in Alaska. Based on how things go this weekend we may need to make a decision before he leaves for Alaska.
Had a pretty good weekend. Tabletop on Friday night, I still managed to stay within calories although it meant forgoing Cherried Away cider on tap. Saturday was slow going for me and I didn't get out of the house until noon when my goal had been an hour earlier. Just give the cat a larger breakfast than usual and hoped it would be sufficient for him not to be a destructive starving kitty by the time we got home the next day. Our hotel in Tacoma was really pretty (the Murano) and across the street from the Convention Center. I had fun at the Pinball convention but am glad I only did the one day. Friends met us there and we had a lovely dinner outside with too many drinks and walked around that downtown corridor strip before going back to play games until close. Downtown Tacoma is barely recognizable as the place I worked 15 years ago, I'm a bit impressed. Broadway is now a great street with huge sidewalks to allow the restaurants to have plenty of outdoor seating.
Sunday we picked up camping equipment we had loaned to a friend before heading back home. Homework for the final Wednesday class is just perfecting our previous pieces and I did 3/4 yesterday. Thanks to the stupid heat and long sunlight hours, couldn't go to sleep until almost 1am though. Oh! And I had PT this morning after a 3 week hiatus and my therapist and I agreed that I'm done! Woo! I've officially finished PT after over 2.5 years! I'm still not totally better but it will just slowly happen at home as long as I am better about my exercises.
InBetweenDays, I'm sorry to hear about Hoss I completely feel your pain though. We are in the talks of figuring out what to do about big red hound and if she continues downy eh path she is then we will have to do it before the end of summer. Lots of hugs to you guys.
Its been an emotional roller coaster of a weekend. We did lots of playing outside in the kiddie pool. Ran errands. Went to leave yesterday morning and found the driver door and trunk of H's commuter car open. Someone ransacked it looking for anything of value. Lucky for us we try not to keep anything of value in our cars. The only thing H noticed they took were some tools, didnt even take the stereo but they tossed the faceplate off? So yeah. That was pretty unsettling even if nothing horrible was done. The lock no longer works but its not a huge deal.
Now i'm struggling today. I stayed up late worried that the kids rooms were cooling off enough and then I partially opened one of their windows so I was a little paranoid about that with the whole car business. So I think I went to sleep around 1 and was up around 5. My sleep has been horrible lately and I have no clue why. I am thinking my thyroid is going nuts but I won't see a specialist until next month. H also thinks i've been a little more forgetful lately which is slightly unsettling for me for some reason.

dana86 - I'm sorry you're going through this as well. I should be thankful that we've had a lot more time with him than we ever thought we would. And I am, but doesn't make this any easier. And sorry about the other stressors going on for you.
Ugh how about we all quit being adults today and be mermaids instead.
I rear ended a motor about two hours ago. Hes fine and i am fine, but i feel awful. Already called insurance and the confirmed taking fault. Thankfully officer only issuing a non moving violation.
I am just done today. Might, get my shorts back on and practice some sits on the pole.
Just work today. Kinda swamped. It's ok. Hopefully today will go fast.
That shiz pisses me off. I would be like welp it's my f----- house and I will warm it when I want to, and with whomever I want to. I would just have a party in like 3 weeks, but I am an asshole.
Dana and IBD My heart does seriously go out to you guys I know I will be having to face that soon enough with my 'first' dog. He is the one I adopted at 15 without my parent's knowledge. He is losing teeth, but he still thinks he is 2 and so I put it off. He lives in retirement on Whidbey with them
I'm checking in late today. I changed my schedule for the rest of this month to work 11-7:30 which means I can sleep in! YAY! but I have to stay later... but I was just spending my afternoons eating and sleeping anyways.
I was diagnosed with GD (God damn baby diabetes) last week so I was not on much. It is not too bad I don't think I have adjusted my food for the most part exchanging carbs and eating less candy, that will just help me in the long run.
Saturday we hung out at home, Sunday we went to Whidbey to go clamming and I was wiped afterwards. We got a lot of clams, the dog swam. I made clam chowder and clams on the grill. So, we learned how to do that. But it was so hot outside. Today I am suffering the pain from all the standing/walking/bending.
