Reading Glasses

So it's inevitable that I need reading glasses.  Optometrist suggested buying them over the counter (especially since I ordered contacts and prescription sunglasses). Any suggestions on where to find cute ones?  I guess I can also get a pair at CVS or Walgreens but thinking I'd like better looking ones.

Nordstrom sells some designer ones, and sometimes you can get them on clearance at Nordstrom Rack or Hautelook. I also have a few pairs of cheap ones lying around so they are easy to grab.

I'll have to see hers.  My regular glasses are KS and I absolutely love them. They are my most favorite pair I've ever owned and I've been wearing glasses since age 12!

The problem with reading glasses is you are constantly putting them on and taking them off. For me, that means constantly misplacing them. My solution is to buy as many cheap pairs as I can, and leave a pair everywhere. I have glasses by my computer, the couch, the kitchen and the bedroom. I carry a pair or two in my purse and at work, I have two or three. I've picked up glasses at the dollar store, Michaels, Christmas Tree Shops, Marshalls and CVS. If I lose one, or break one, no big deal. I also have them in all colors and shapes.

Also, and I don't know if this applies to you, but I need a lower magnification for the computer than I do for reading books and magazines. That is another reason I don't spend a lot of money on reading glasses, since I need two different magnifications.

I got a three pack at Costco because I keep them all over the house.  They have a few different styles.

I have cheap ones all over the house and then good ones from my eye doc in my purse and for my computer (because they make sure the magnification lines up the right way whereas cheap ones don't always work perfectly that way - but do the quick job).

When I lived near a '99 cent only store' I would stalk their glasses section for nicer Foster Grant glasses, (they only got the good quality ones in sprodically), then I would buy whatever they had that worked for me. It made it easy to have a pair anywhere that I might need them....including my business partner's house so that I would be guaranteed to have them when we were working. Them costing only 99 cents made me not feel so bad if one of the dogs got a hold of them or if someone sat on them.

Luckily, I stocked up on different strengths, because we don't have any dollar stores that carry decent glasses around here.
